What’s valuable is not easy to access. We must search and find. On the other hand, it is always easier to conform and stay where we are. Challenges are frightening, that we know. But there are challenges that are worthy, and that we have to learn how to recognize.
The New Moon in Taurus is happening on the 15th of May 2018, in 24° Taurus 36’, at 13:49 (CEST), or 6:40 (EST).
She silently observes our mundane lives from above. She reveals ourselves in the flowers blooming, dropping along them her comforting smile. She whispers to our ears soft words of peace. Words that we might not understand, words coming in another language. The language of nature.
These Days: New Moon in Taurus Practical Meaning
This Moon encourages us to rejoice in Earth, to embrace the resources and skills Earth gives us with love by genuinely acknowledging them and using them. In powerful ways, this Moon coincides with the ingress of Uranus in Taurus, a strong energetic time that will revolutionize the way we relate with ourselves in different areas of life. This is the time for new beginnings. The land is fertile, the Moon whispers.
With the separating opposition to Jupiter Rx in Scorpio, tensions from the past week will start to soften much more. It is important here to understand that Jupiter retrograde in Scorpio tenses the Moon and the Sun in Taurus, and that can be a very sensitive point.
The Moon and the Sun in Taurus want tranquillity, a calming breath to connect back with our vital force, but Jupiter Rx in Scorpio knows that there is still much more to be discovered and learned (sometimes, the hard way).
So the sensation of being pulled away from life vitality, from Nature and from the comforts that we are used to is overpowering and can affect different areas of our lives in the current time.
Nevertheless, as this configuration begins to diminish and separate, what was difficult becomes experience, and experience gives us strength and knowledge.
And with this New Moon, we must really sit down with a cup of rich coffee, take a deep breath, close the eyes for some minutes, keep breathing consciously, think about the past, present and future, digest what was hard during that time, and slowly open the eyes with new confidence to keep going forward with what we have learned and with the desire to make the necessary changes. Then enjoy that cup of coffee, get a pen and a paper, and write your own findings about the latest experiences you’ve had (Venus is in Gemini and the mind is stimulated).
The Moon-Sun are also in a trine with the powerful duo Pluto and Mars in Capricorn. This indicates that there is fire there burning. There is motivation, confidence, strength and will to persevere. In the darkness of these New Moon days, we must go through and find that spark of personal power. To find out more read the full article and

The Full Moon in Scorpio is happening on the 30th of April 2018, at 2:59 AM (CEST +2:00), or the 29th of April 2018 at 7:59 PM (EST -5:00). The degree is 9° Scorpio 39’.
One of the most stunning and penetrating lunations is that one which happens when the Sun is in Taurus and the Moon is in Scorpio. A Lunation that holds the light upon the mystery, the light upon what is hidden, and the light upon the vibrating power that lies within us. This is the Full Moon in Scorpio. Silent, mysterious, penetrating and seductive. The meaning that it embodies is that one of regeneration through the transcendence of pain, crisis or fears.
In the Hellenistic Astrology tradition, when the Moon is in the sign of Scorpio, she is said to be in a detrimental position. The Moon likes to be in comfort, in protection and within her sacred boundaries. But Scorpio challenges her. Like the mountain challenges the climber when they meet each other for the first time. Like the adrenaline rush one experiences when getting into the zone of another person. Like the fear one feels when breaking the protective walls and letting oneself trust another person.
Scorpio dresses the Moon in seductive mystery. Too frightening perhaps, but too tempting to resist. One just needs to let go and discover the magic which happens. And this is an ancient symbolism embedded in Pagan Nature. This Full Moon happens just before the feast of Beltane: the feast of sensuality, sexuality, fertility and consummation of love.
Now, the Moon is in Scorpio, in co-presence with Jupiter retrograde in Scorpio, in opposition to the Sun in Taurus. In addition, the Moon is sextile to Saturn in Capricorn, in square to the Nodal Axis and in trine with Neptune in Pisces.
So this is a time charged with discovery opportunities in the personal and transpersonal level. Getting to know ourselves better by letting go to the mysteries calling us. Getting to discover new aspects of ourselves, by engaging deeper with other persons. Challenging ourselves with new experiences. But we must be aware that getting out of the comfort zone is not easy. But it is good to remain aware that there is always a transformative power in every action we decide to step in. And this power is greater as we get out of the comfort zone and experience the world in new positive ways.
With the sextile to Saturn in Capricorn, there might be also opportunities to grow in the professional arena. Perhaps these opportunities might not be the most comfortable, nor the easiest ones. To find out more read the full article and

The Full Moon in Libra 2018 is happening the 31st of March 2018, at 10° Libra 45’, at 2:38 PM (CEST +2:00), or 7:38 AM (EST -5:00).
This Full Moon in Libra is the fruition of this Lunation, which began with the past New Moon in Pisces. And since the beginning of this cycle, we have all been experiencing upheavals of either professional, social, identity, or relationships character. These have been days of confusion and perhaps a sense of don’t knowing where are we standing now. Sensitivity has been strong.
And now, the cycle is at its climax. Unfortunately, some tension has been building up, and right now we face some strong challenges testing us, either in the professional, social, identity or relationships arena.
This configuration is very powerful, and can be dangerous. There are conflicting issues within ourselves that have come to surface through “situations” in the real world. These conflicts might have to do with desires or fears that we have suppressed and have come into manifestation through different sort of “circumstances” seeming “out of our hands”. They might have to do with our professional choices, relationship choices, or life choices in general. Regrets can also come to manifest.
In any case, it is very important to not lose ourselves. It is very important to keep our priorities as human beings on the table. But the most important thing is to watch out how do we express our conflicts upon our loved ones.
When tension is greater than normal, we can easily lose control and throw our unease negative state into our loved ones. And this is where the danger is (especially during this weekend).
The Full Moon in Libra of 2018 enthralls a very important meaning. To find out what's on the Moon side read the full article and

“I have thrown from me the whirling dance of mind
And stand now in the spirit’s silence free,
Timeless and deathless beyond creature-kind,
The centre of my own eternity.
I have escaped and the small self is dead;
I am immortal, alone, ineffable;
I have gone out from the universe I made,
And have grown nameless and immeasurable.
My mind is hushed in a wide and endless light,
My heart a solitude of delight and peace,
My sense unsnared by touch and sound and sight,
My body a point in white infinities.
I am the one Being’s sole immobile Bliss:
No one I am, I who am all that is." -Sri Aurobindo
The New Moon in Pisces 2018 is happening the 17th of March at 2:12 PM (CET) or 8:12 AM (EST) at 26° Pisces 53’ just three days before the Vernal or Spring Equinox.
With the call to action from the past Full Moon in Virgo, which was during a time charged with mental activity directed towards progress, now we begin a new cycle, a new Lunation*.
The New Moon in Pisces is a time to slow down the rhythm of activity, to quiet the mind and to focus in in the awareness of unity with existence. A time to renew ourselves from within, because the miracle of life’s rebirth is about to come.
And even though we do not see the Moon this day, she is there, silently reawakening. She feels soft and kind, and with her, all the warming life-force is intensely building up, ready to grow and burst later in Aries. And so, this is a time to experience the softness and kindness from the last degrees of Pisces. With ourselves and with the universe.
Let us briefly navigate through the symbolism of this Lunation. But first, let us welcome the New Moon.
Before going into the symbolism, it is important to note that this New Moon in Pisces marks the upcoming Vernal Equinox (or Spring Equinox), which happens the 20th of March 2018 with the ingress of the Sun into Aries. Therefore, the beginning of spring and the return of the life-force into physical manifestation. Aries, is the sign of the rise of the life-energy and the blooming of nature.
The New Moon, happening at the very end of Pisces reflects an important transition in the quality of our life-energy. By many, Pisces is called the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end. Pisces is a very special sign in its nature, since it really encompasses all the whirls of emotional awareness and intuitive forces within us during the end of a cycle and the beginning of a new one (Aries follows Pisces, and Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, being Pisces the last one).

“Let the power of your mind manifest. Let the unique creative stream pour from within your soul. You can always feel this creative source that beats within you. You just have to let it speak."
The New Moon in 27° Aquarius 08’ is happening the 15th of January 2018 at 2:06 PM (CET +1:00) or 8:00 AM (EST -5:00).
And with the Sun-Moon conjoined with Mercury in Aquarius we begin a New Lunation Cycle. This time more liberating and more associated with our true nature as individuals. This time fresher than before, and loaded with a lot of dynamism to put our creative ideas and potential into real concrete action out there in the world.
In addition, there is a partial solar eclipse on this day, as a continuation of the bombastic eclipse of the past Full Moon in Leo. A continuation of our mission in this world, of our evolution as individuals. What we discover now about ourselves, will come into fruition in the next Full Moon in Virgo.
Let us welcome the New Moon.
Footprints are walked memories;
molded cerebral impressions
of traced tracks—telling
tinted stories of freedom’s journeys;
like running rivers between banks
leaving trailing
residues of liberation.
Remembered footprints
tell tall towering tales
of those who’ve passed this way.
May the Most High
let mine tell tall tales
of the jubilee journey jogged
as I passed this way.
And may my marvelous ones walk
proudly in the depths of my footprints.
-mlowe
The element for this Lunation is fixed air, or condensed mental ideas and capabilities. But this condensation of mental power represented by Aquarius is higher than our normal mind functions and at the same time, deeper. It is about our true calling and potential put into concrete actions in the outer world, for ourselves and our community.
It can be indeed, quite a radical time, in which our inherent creativity or inventiveness as individuals just wants to pour, no matter what the status quo or the external authority might think. It can be a rebellious time in which we just go out our pure flow, passing over all obstacles.
Now, creativity itself does not mean only art. Creativity is the ability to create something new and special. It can be something physical, or it can be an action. It can be a product or it can be a service. It can be an object or it can be a way to communicate. It can be an idea, or it can be the manifestation of this idea and how it comes to manifestation. It is something we create by making use of our mental, intuitive and emotional faculties (our imagination).
It can be quite an authentic time in which we come up with new ideas, new solutions, and new powers that we never thought we had.
It can also be a time in which some might experience mental flashes, sudden thoughts, sudden ideas, sudden memories, and penetrating feelings coming from within our soul’s memory. Synchronicity and manifestation can be a theme in people highly connected with their own essence of being and personal transformation.
Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius and he represents our higher mind. But Mercury is the lower octave of Uranus. Mercury is the vector associated with our lower mind, or the mind we just commonly use 24/7 for our daily activities, the mind that thinks, assimilates, evaluates, creates and questions. But also the mind that when overly abused and negatively exposed, becomes stressed and even distorted.
So with Uranus sextile to the Sun-Moon-Mercury conjunction, we see a cycle that activates our lower and higher mind, our capacity to consciously think and create, but our capacity to consciously think and create by pouring out the creative contents of the deepest party of our soul’s source. So if we pay attention to the position of Uranus, the ruler of Aquarius.

“Take in your strengths, your lessons, your best persons, and say yes to the new changes and adventures that are about to come."
The Super Blue Moon in Leo is happening the 31st of January 2018, at 2:27 PM (CET +1:00), or at 7:27 AM (EST -5:00) with a total Lunar Eclipse.
At the end of this article, you will find a link to a simple ritual* to attain confidence during this time.
Full Moons and New Moons happen once a month. Whenever there are two Full Moons in the same month, the second Full Moon receives the name of the Blue Moon.
In addition, she is at 360,362 km away from Earth, so she is very close, and enters in the category of a Super Moon, which means she will seem bigger to our eyes.
And to top this, there will also be a Total Lunar Eclipse with this Full Moon.
So, even if we cannot see the Lunar Eclipse this special night, we can still contemplate the majesty of the Super Blue Moon in the majestic sign of Leo.
With this triple category, and with fire and explosive energy, this Full Moon is coming with a great potential and special opportunities for all of us.
The Moon is in the mighty sign of Leo, conjoined with the North Node; while the Sun is in the electric sign of Aquarius, conjoined with the South Node.
Two bombastic words we see here: the mighty and the electric. Looking at these two words, from a growth-oriented perspective, they indicate important and strong changes, both internally and externally.
On the Sun’s side, we have a conjunction of the Sun, Venus, the South Node and the asteroid Juno in Aquarius. From an evolutionary perspective, the symbolism reflects all the strain and the tension that has been present from the last two months, and which was massive in the past Capricorn month, together with that powerful Jupiter-Mars conjunction that happened in Scorpio. It indeed left us a little bit unwired and disintegrated at a constitutional level.
It was certainly a time of confusion, some chaos and possible suppression. We might have felt as if chained, suppressed, and as if there was not a visible solution for whatever we might have been going through.
We might have felt restricted by the external authority/duties/pressure and as if there was not a viable way to accomplish a dream, or to solve a problem. Some might have felt this time stronger than others. Some situations might have been more tender, or tenser. It depends. But the sensation of limitation and restriction was there.
Now that the Sun is in Aquarius, together with Venus, the South Node and Juno, there is a way out. Aquarius is fixed air, and its smooth breeze comes to us with a core refreshment, with a powerful lightning. Liberation comes along with it, as we start feeling mentally clearer, focused and determined.
As our minds become accessible and uncomplicated, we start to see a way out. We start to generate ideas and solutions. Our attitude becomes plainer and the way we see the world changes from negative to positive. We also start to relate with friends or people with whom we share interests and views.
In love relationships, Juno re-activates the passion and the electric feeling of the relationship at all levels. Also the commitment of learning and growing together, and the acceptance of what the other offers or brings into the relationship is solidified. Some might even say that one of Juno’s secrets is the practice of tantra.
This positive shift brings an electric feeling of excitement for life, for action, for solving problems, and for generating new ways to achieve purposes. New purposes. If we go back to the beginning of this Lunation with the New Moon in Capricorn, we can review those goals we have set for the short-medium-term, and now look at them with brighter eyes. The eyes from the Sun in Aquarius.
Take in all what you have learned from the past, take in your capabilities, and take in your strengths. The freedom of the spirit is around the corner. The action is now!

“Life is like the darknessOften scaryAlways redeeming”. TB Wayne
The first New Moon of 2018. It is happening the 17th of January 2018 at 3:18 AM (CET +1:00), or the 16th of January at 9:18 PM (EST -5:00), in 26° Capricorn 55’.
This is the first full Lunation of 2018 (the past Full Moon of 2018 was part of the Lunation cycle that started with the New Moon in Sagittarius in December 2017).
This intensity. We all have felt it. This year has started with strong intensity, manifested through different ways in each of our lives. We began with this powerful conjunction of Jupiter and Mars in Scorpio, which is still active. In addition, with the ingress of Saturn in Capricorn, we have also felt the strong pressure from life responsibilities (work, payments, duties, taxes, stress, dissatisfaction, etc.)
So, with a New Moon in Capricorn? Hmm, a quite interesting way to begin the Lunations of 2018. Let us dive into the symbolism! But first, let us welcome the New Moon in Capricorn.
So what we see in this special configuration is the power of Capricorn in all its splendour: Saturn, Mercury, Pluto, the Sun, the Moon and Venus. And more: Jupiter and Mars still conjoined in Scorpio, but forming a sextile towards the Sun/Moon/Pluto. This sextile changes the tone of this configuration: the possibility to transform ourselves.
The Lunation itself occurs with a conjunction in the last decanate of Capricorn, in square to Uranus in Aries. The feeling of responsibility and duty is taking us over. It can be very overwhelming when we add difficult economic situations, or when the job is just feeling pretty bad lately. Issues at home, issues with the boss, issues with the government and the whole structure of the external authority. It call be too much. And it can be a difficult way to begin this year.
The last decanate of Capricorn takes the colour of Virgo, so we feel pressured in work, which in return makes us feel inclined to work even harder. And don’t be surprised, we might feel responsible for so many things in the present moment. In some cases, we might feel guilty or blame ourselves when something goes wrong.
With Venus there, the difficulty to express what we feel or what is worrying us can be even greater. Silencing, suppressing worries, burying thoughts, not sharing what is taking over our minds.
Let us remember that life has its own ways, its own tides and its own flow. This is not constant. The seed-lesson carried with this Lunation is that of perseverance. If we come, and we take all the positive traits of what Capricorn is, we will find the possibility of a much greater and stronger person in us.
We must go through the way as life presents it to us. In this time, our mind should get a little more practical and more down to Earth. We must act calm, but we must engage our brains to find a way out of whatever we might be going through: a solution.

Swami Sivananda’s life was a radiant example of service to humanity, both during his years as a doctor and later as a world-renowned sage and jivanmukta. To serve all, to love all, to mix with all and to see God in all beings were the ideals he taught and lived by. Born on September 8, 1887, to an illustrious family in Tamil Nadu, South India, he displayed spiritual tendencies even as a young boy. He had a natural flair for a life devoted to the study and practice of Vedanta, along with an inborn eagerness to serve, and an innate feeling of unity with all.
Though born into an orthodox family, his piety was balanced by an unusual broad mindedness and lack of prejudice. Even as a young man, his driving force was the service of humanity which led him to become a medical doctor. He served the poor in Malaysia for many years, but soon felt that this was not enough. Divinely blessed, he gave up his medical career and took to a life of renunciation.
He returned to India and spent a year wandering before settling in Rishikesh, Himalayas in 1924. There he practiced intense austerities, found his guru, Swami Vishwananda, and was initiated into sannyas. For the next seven years, Swami Sivananda spent most of his time in meditation. From the early 1930s onwards, he embarked on frequent and extensive tours of India and Sri Lanka, stirring the hearts and souls of thousands with his spiritual magnetism, strong vibrant voice and public speaking abilities. Wherever he went, he conducted sankirtan (chanting), delivered lectures and taught people how to stay strong and healthy by practising yoga asanas, pranayama and kriyas. Above all, he urged his audiences to strive constantly for spiritual development.
In Rishikesh, meanwhile, an increasing number of disciples had begun to congregate and an ashram grew up around him. With his unrestrained generosity, spirit of service, deep devotion, and his constant good humour, Swami Sivananda set a supreme example to his students. In 1932, he started the Sivananda Ashram; in 1936 the Divine Life Society was born. The Yoga Vedanta Forest Academy was organised in 1948, all with the aim of spreading the teachings of yoga and vedanta.
Swami Sivananda’s teachings crystallised the basic tenets of all religions, combining all yoga paths into one – the Yoga of Synthesis which he summed up with, ‘Serve, Love, Give, Purify, Meditate, Realise’. His own life was a shining example of the ideal wish to spread his message of love and service. He had disciples around the world, of all nationalities, religions and creeds. Swami Sivananda entered mahasamadhi (left his physical body) on July 14, 1963.
A disciple of Swami Sivananda, Swami Vishnudevananda was born in Kerala, south India on December 31, 1927. During his career in the army, he discovered Swami Sivananda’s teachings from a leaflet entitled Sadhana Tattwa (Spiritual Instructions) which began ‘An ounce of practice is worth tons of theory.’ Impressed by the immediacy of the teachings he took some leave and journeyed to Rishikesh, a holy town at the foot of the Himalayas to meet the Master at his Ashram.
Swami Vishnudevananda, after some consideration, decided to forsake his worldly life and entered the Sivananda Ashram in Rishikesh in 1947 at the age of twenty, took sannyas (holy orders) and was appointed the first professor of hatha yoga at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Forest Academy. There he trained thousands of students, both Indian and western. At the same time he continued his own practice, mastering difficult, advanced hatha yoga techniques. For ten years, he lived and worked under the direct guidance of his Master.
In 1957 he set out from Swami Sivananda’s Ashram to carry out the instructions of his Master — to spread the teachings of yoga in the West. He established the first Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre in Montreal and from there for the following thirty-seven years he worked tirelessly as a dedicated spiritual teacher and peace missionary; travelling the world establishing centres and ashrams from where this work could be accomplished. His teachings, following in the tradition of Swami Sivananda, were based on an integrated approach to yoga.
Swami Vishnudevananda worked tirelessly to instil a strong, practical understanding of yoga and vedanta in the people who came to him. Through his dedication, his infinite love and kindness, his devotion to his Guru and his sheer undaunted fearlessness, he planted the seeds for yoga to grow into the world-wide phenomenon that it is today. His motto ‘Health is Wealth. Peace of Mind is Happiness. Yoga Shows the Way’ continues to inspire all who come to learn about yoga at the Sivananda Ashrams and Centres around the world.
As a peace missionary during the 1970s Swamiji made headlines by flying around the world in his small two-seater plane dropping flowers and leaflets for peace over trouble-spots and war-torn countries of the world. Recognised as a world authority on hatha and raja yoga, he is author of the bestselling The Complete Illustrated Book of Yoga. He left his body on November 9 1993, his legacy–a worldwide organisation dedicated to propagating the ancient and timeless wisdom of yoga.
