Internal linking for SEO is good before you rank your content. Google will find your pages and posts best when you link them somewhere on the internet. Internal links will also connect your web content and give Google a rough idea of your website’s structure.

Internal links can establish a hierarchy on your website and allow you to give the most crucial posts and pages a higher link value than the other pages that are less valuable. Therefore, you can boost your SEO by using the right internal linking strategy.

You can also attend an internal linking strategy, and most of them are available online. Some of the courses include internal linking, taxonomies, and cornerstone content.

Why Internal Building for SEO is Important:

Google utilizes links to determine the type of content that is on your website and how valuable it is. Therefore, you cannot overlook internal linking for SEO if you want to succeed in the online business.

Relationships between Content:

Google uses the Google bot, internal and external links, to crawl websites. The bot will come to the homepage of your site and begin to render the page and follow the first link. Google follows links to work out relationships between the different posts, pages, and other content.

In this way, the search engine will find out the various posts, pages, and other content on your website. In this way, the search engine will find out the various pages on your website that cover a similar subject matter.

Internal links make the search engine to understand that the content that is on those pages is similar to that content on the pages that you are linking to. Therefore, internal linking for SEO is good for anyone who wants to rank high in the SERPs.

Link Value:

Apart from understanding the relationship between web content, the search engine divides link value between all the links on web pages. In most cases, the homepage of your website has the highest link value because it has the highest number of backlinks.

Google will share the link value between all the links that are on your homepage. The link value that passes through this page is divided between all the links that are on that page and so on.

As a result, the new blog posts on your website will receive a higher value if you are linking to them from the homepage instead of the category page alone. Besides, Google will get new posts faster if they are linked to from your homepage.

Once you understand the concept that links use in passing over their value, you will know that more links to your post will imply higher value. Google assumes that a page that gets more important, and hence, it will increase your chances of getting better ranking.

How to Set Up an Internal Linking for SEO Strategy:External Links vs. Internal Links

All websites have both external and internal links. External links will connect the pages on your website to other sites while internal links connect the posts and pages of your site to your website. This article primarily focuses on internal links and their implication to SEO.

However, it is also good to understand how you can get more external links that point to your website. It is crucial for the SEO of your website to assess and improve the internal linking strategy regularly. Once you add the right internal links to your website, you will give the search engine a better understanding of your products and services.

Internal linking for SEO will help Google to understand the relationships that exist between your pages, the relevance of your pages, and the value of your pages.  It is an important step that all businesses that wish to succeed need to undertake.

The Appropriate Structure for Your Website

As a website owner, you can think of your site as a pyramid. The homepage occupies the top section and further down you will get individual pages and posts. The pages and posts can have subcategories in between them.

If you get it right, the menu of your website should reflect the above structure. Make sure you get the right structure for your website if you want to succeed in internal linking for SEO.

Which Content is Most Important to You?

You need to understand the essential content for your website. If you are not sure about information, it is good to start by doing some research. You need the most complete and best content for your website.

It is the content you will want your target audience to get while searching for products and topics that you are specializing in. You need to allow Google to know that it is your most important content by adding several links.

You can use several spots to link to your main content. In this section, I will give you the most common alternatives from the copy of your post to the navigation.

Add Contextual Links

After writing several articles about a specific topic, you have to link them to one another. It will show Google and other users that the articles are related topically. You may directly link from sentences in your copy or include links at the end of the post.

Besides, you will want to tell articles about the articles that are your cornerstone. It refers to the most critical articles on those particular topics. To do this, you should include links to the cornerstone in all your articles on the subject. Also, remember to link back from your cornerstone to your posts.

Internal linking for SEO will help your posts to rank for all the search quarries that are related to the keyword in the search engine results. You need to add links from the relevant articles to the main article. You can also link back from the main article to these posts.

Once you do this, Google will understand that this ultimate guide has most of the information about your keyword. In the end, the search engine will rank your main post above the other short posts on your keywords.

Include a Related Post Section

Several modules and plugins add complete related post sections to your posts. If you decide to use one, you have to determine whether these posts are related. If you aren’t sure about this information, the best approach would be to link back manually to the best.

You can choose the related posts manually or use the internal linking tools. From here, you can add a related link about your web post at the bottom of your article.

Add Navigation Links

Apart from linking from pages and posts that are topically related, you can also make your most important (cornerstone) content more authoritative by including links to it from the top navigation or homepage. You need to do this with pages and posts that have the highest level of importance to your brand.

It will give a high link value to your pages or posts and make them strong in the eyes of Google. Therefore, internal linking for SEO is best when you add navigation links.

Include Links to Your Taxonomies

Taxonomies, like tags and categories, will assist you in organizing your website. It also helps Google and your users to know the theme of your website. If you already have a blog, it will be a good idea to add internal links to the taxonomies of the blog.

When you add links to the tags and category, Google will understand the structure of your blog. It will also help your visitors to navigate to the related posts with a lot of ease.

Add Links to Recent or Popular Posts

The final alternative that we need to mention is the creation of internal links to the newest or popular posts on your website. It can be better if you create these sections in the footer or sidebar of your website so that they can appear on all the posts and pages.

As the link value continues to pass to the most recent or popular posts from many different posts and pages, they will get a great boost. Apart from this, visitors will find it easier to access your post. It will send a positive sign to Google that will assist you to increase the amount of traffic.

More Information on Internal Links:No-Follow Links

You could also be having links that are not adding value to the SEO of your site. For example, if you have a customer login link on your homepage, there may be no reason to link back to this login page. The reason is that the page should not rank high in SEO.

You can give some of these unimportant links a no-follow tag so that you don’t lose value to them. The no-follow tag will tell Google not to follow that link so that you don’t lose any value from your internal linking for SEO efforts.

However, Google is smarter now and choosing to ‘no-follow’ the less critical links will not necessarily place higher value to the most important links on your website. Therefore, the link value to the no-follow links will not automatically flow to the other links on your website.

Google will count the no-follow link as a link, and you will lose its link value. Therefore, it is more valuable to have few links on your pages instead of deciding to ‘no-follow’ some of your links.

Remember, once you add a no-follow tag, it does not imply that the affected target pages will be unavailable in the search results. If you don’t want specific posts or pages to show up in Google’s search results, you should also give them the ‘no-index’ tag.

With the no-index tag, Google will not render the page and will not give the content a place in its index, and hence, it will not show up in the search results.

Anchor Texts:

Once you decide on the links that will be on your page and the ones that will receive link value, you have to make sure that you are using the right anchor texts. This term refers to the clickable text that your visitors will see.

It is not recommended to over-optimize the anchor text as this may hurt your website. Over-optimization means keyword stuffing. In the past, you could give all the anchor texts the same keyword still rank highly in the search engine.

However, Google has become smarter when it comes to internal linking for SEO. The content around the anchor text should say more about your keyword relevancy and not the anchor text itself. The anchor text should be natural in your copy. You can use keywords, but it should be different from the keyword in all anchor texts of the link.

Internal Linking for SEO with Yoast SEO Premium:

The Yoast SEO Premium Plugin will help you to improve the internal linking structure using the internal linking suggestion tool. It helps you to find posts that are related to the post. As you write a post, you can drag the link into the editor to link it to a related post immediately.

This plugin has an option that marks the most important content pieces as cornerstone articles. These cornerstone articles will appear at the top of your list and hence you won’t forget linking them.

The Yoast free version also has a tool that is called the text link counter. It counts the internal links that are in any post and the internal links that point to a given post. It will tell you the number of links that are in each post to help you work on your site structure purposely.

The premium SEO Yoast has the orphaned content filter that will show you the pages and posts that are not linked to at all by other pages and posts on your website. The filter can help you to identify the important posts that require inbound internal links. Therefore, Yoast has one of the most useful internal linking for the SEO tool.

With this information, you can now begin to use internal linking for SEO. Once you have a solid strategy for internal linking, you need to show the related content and the most valuable and informative articles. If you our guideline, both users and Google will get a better understating of your website and this will increase your possibility of ranking better.

One of the greatest benefits of content marketing actually, is its potential ROI or Return on Investment. If we assume that you have already implemented an effective content marketing strategy and that you have been following that strategy over a considerable period of time, you must witness a higher ROI as compared other promotion and marketing strategies. However, the standalone content marketing ROI would not be sufficient for maximizing your endeavors. For doing that, you would require employing some additional endeavors for ensuring that all the money and time you devote to your campaign is truly valuable.

Why Do You Think that ROI from Content Marketing Is Remarkably High?

You must, first of all, understand the reason why ROI from content marketing is remarkably high. In this context, you must know that content marketing involves the process of developing content like blogs, whitepapers, infographics, and videos, etc. for a particular target audience for attracting more traffic, building and enhancing your brand’s image and reputation, and gaining a boost in conversions.

Reasons Why Content Marketing Delivers High ROI

Minimal Expenses: In comparison to all other marketing investments. Creating new content does not involve much money or time. Unlike a conventional ad campaign, there is no need to make a significant payment for placement. You would rather spend an hour or two on a new video or blog post and results would soon be visible.

Durability over a Long Period of Time: The created content would be lasting much longer as compared to any other advertising or marketing campaigns. The fresh new content created by you could remain on the web for quite some time provided you want it to be that way. This way a quality content would be generating and earning more value and reputation indefinitely for your brand.

Compounding Effects:  If you wish to broaden your target audience, you must necessarily invest your time and money on a dedicated content marketing campaign. When you have a relatively bigger target audience, your content would be having a greater impact. Accordingly, the advantages of content marketing would be compounding and accumulating over time.

Best Way to Effectively Push It Higher

The most effective content marketing strategy would be the one that exploits the crucial advantages of content marketing and helps you in further reducing costs, achieving higher longevity, and even accelerating your compounding returns.

Focus on Consistently Updating Your Content

As per marketinginsidergroup, the key is to keep creating fresh content on your website after small periods. This helps Google think of the website as being active and offering new content to users. This means that a post on the ‘Top 7 Benefits of SEO’ should be updated and made into the ‘Top 10 Benefits of SEO’. This not only makes the content fresh and updated but also allows it to make this more keyword friendly.

Your readers would realize that the content provided by you is relevant and current. They will hold you in high esteem as you are devoting time and energy towards providing relevant and high-quality posts.

Google is in the habit of pushing fresh and high-quality content right to the #1 slot of the search rankings page. For instance, if you are searching for SEO marketing tools on Google, you would soon see that the highest ranked results were actually published in April and May 2019. So fresh content would appear on the top few Google search results.

Updating your previous content could be a great avenue for promotions all over again. This should be getting you more engagement on social platforms. Moreover, you could effectively reach a broader audience. You may grab the attention of new users and fans and even attract people who happened to miss it on the earlier occasion. You may discover more here.

Avoid Vanity Metrics and Put Your Emphasis on Real Metrics

It is mandatory to avoid vanity metrics such as the number of already registered users, number of web page views, or number of downloads if you want to accurately measure the ROI from content marketing. All these vanity metrics are not necessarily helpful in measuring the exact number of leads. Rather, it is a good idea to focus on real metrics such as the exact number of leads that are generated effectively from every webpage, the total number of actual conversions taking place on the site, and the precise traffic generated on the website through certain high-intent keywords that would be impacting directly your bottom line.

Enable Your Content to Serve Multiple Objectives & Goals

Your content should be created in such a manner that it should serve multiple goals. You must be aware that content marketing could be effectively utilized for multiple purposes. You could effectively use it for improving your brand or business’s relationships with customers, you could utilize it purely for attracting new traffic to your website, or you could even utilize it for earning more conversions from all your existing website visitors. The best marketing strategies would be using the content for a little bit of everything that results in maximizing the actual value of each piece of content. Focus on optimizing your content for search engines, for conversions, and for readers-all in one go.

Pay Attention to Creating Evergreen Content

Evergreen content implies timeless content that is a piece of content which has the potential for staying relevant indefinitely. Evergreen content is known to consistently pay off over relatively a longer time span, eventually returning a much higher profit on all your investments.

Devote Attention to Revisiting, Reinventing, & Reusing Your Content

Once you have generated a new content it does not mean that your content would be doomed forever to a life of inactivity or stagnation. You must consider revisiting, reinventing, or reusing some valuable content pieces you have created in the past. For instance, you could consider writing an important follow-up content to a popular post written by you last year, forecasting what would be happening this year. Moreover, you have the option of transforming a presently popular post into an entirely different medium for capitalizing on a totally different target audience.

Allow Your Users to Generate Content for You

Encourage and motivate your users to come up with effective content for you. You could consider setting up a user-driven forum which allows all your clients to focus their attention on creating, submitting, and answering questions, sponsoring content on the popular social media platforms that motivate users to click and use their own pictures. This way, you could effectively motivate your user base. Moreover, you could get fresh new content simultaneously that would remarkably lower your overall costs.

You must know that content marketing is still regarded as one of the most effective digital marketing channels. However, we seem to live in an era referred to as the ‘Content Overload’. This actually implies that less is certainly more. Today, marketers must clearly understand the pivotal importance of boosting their content marketing ROI. You may wisely use one or more of the above-discussed strategies for boosting your content marketing returns on investment and even come up with certainly more leads that are just right for your business.

Making a website is not as hard as you may be thinking. You can develop an excellent website even if you are doing so for the first time. If you are a beginner, this article will explain to you how to develop a website from the start to the end.

The kind of website that you will create depends on its purpose. The type of website you create for a learning institution will be quite different from what a hospital requires. Therefore, you need to understand the expectations of your target audience before you begin this process.

The ultimate objective of your website should be to take your brand to the next level. The website should have a user-friendly interface. Here are some of the web development tips that will make sure that you succeed as a beginner.

Get the Domain Name:

The first step in web development is getting your domain name ready. It should be the name that you will want to give to your website. A domain name can read something like ‘thewizardsite.com. In most cases, you will pay an annual fee to a registration company to reserve the right of using that name.

Remember, this is just a name like the one you use in registering for a brick and motor business. Once you have a business name, it does not imply that you have a shop or premise that will get together with it.

Some tips can help you to get an excellent domain name. It should have the keyword you are targeting for optimization. Once you have a business name, you should know the steps you need to undertake to register the domain name.

The process may vary from one host to another. Get to learn some of the precautions you need to undertake when registering a domain name. You should not find yourself repeating some of the mistakes that most beginners make during web development.

Sign Up for an Account or Choose a Web Hosting:

A web host is a brand that has several computers that are connected online. When you put your web page on these computers, all people globally will connect to your website and view it. You have to sign up an account with a web host company to give your website a home.

We can compare the analogy of getting a domain name to what we see in the brick and motor world. We can compare it to renting a shop premise or office to your business.

So many issues come with choosing a good host for your website. You need to get someone who will give your real-time support if you have a problem with your site. Besides, a good web host should guarantee you the security of your website.

You need to decide whether you will be using SSL for your website. The web address of websites that use SSL start with https:// and not “HTTP://.” In the past, only website owners who were selling goods and services and were expected to collect credit card numbers were keen to use SSL.

The other group that paid close attention to the use of SSL are the ones who required their users to login with passwords. However, currently, it is like the entire website is moving towards a state in which everyone is going for SSL.

For this case, it is good to use it as you set up your website even if you are a beginner. It will help you to avoid the risks that come with loving the current site from HTTP to HTTPS. If you don’t do this from the onset, you may find yourself having to do it in the future.

Several advantages come with the use of SSL on your website. The most important thing is that you will have a secure website in place. There is no need to expose yourself to the risk of hacking on your site.

Most commercial web hosts will allow you to install SSL certificates on your website.  The price varies from one company to another. However, we have a few brands that will give you these certificates for free. Other companies will charge you once for installing these certificates.

In some cases, you may buy a commercial certificate that has recurring charges. I have seen some companies that impose a monthly fee on the certificate after you buy. Therefore, make sure that you are making an informed decision when choosing to get an SSL for your website.

First, make sure that it will give your website the maximum security that it desires. Also, it is good to choose a package that will provide you with the best service. An experienced web development expertise is in the best position to advise you depending on the available options in the region;

Once you sign up for the web hosting, you will point the domain name to the location. It is not hard to do this as long as you are willing to learn.

Designing Your Web Pages:

Once you settle on your web host and domain name, the next step will be to create the actual website. You can still handle this step even if you are a beginner. There are several things you need to put into consideration when developing a website.

The first step would be getting something out onto your website. You can fine tune later once you get to understand the process of publishing a basic web page. One way is to use the; ‘What You See is What You Get’ editor.

These editors allow people to design their websites visually without handling the technical details. The systems work like ordinary word processors.

The market has several commercial and free web editors that you can use. However, Microsoft Expression Web is among the best choices for those people who use Windows. Initially, this program was commercial, but Microsoft now distributes it for free.

The reason could be that the company no longer has an interest in the web editing business. It is highly polished and fully-featured and has facilities that meet the needs of both experienced and new webmasters. The Expression Web Tutorial will guide you on how to use this program.

It will help you to design a mobile-friendly website that is fully functional. Therefore, the site will function seamlessly on both laptop/desktop and small screen mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones. You can get all these instructions in the tutorial.

BlueGriffon is another free source editor for Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows. You can visit the BlueGriffon Tutorial for a comprehensive guide on how to use this program to develop your website.

If you prefer using a commercial program, you can get several tutorials on thesitewizard.com for the Dreamweaver editor. The features of this program are similar to the ones you get on Expression Web. The tutorial will take you through all the steps that you require to complete web development.

It will give you practical and theoretical foundations for creating and maintaining your website. If you don’t like all the above suggestions, you can access tutorials for more WYSIWYG website editors like KompoZer online. If all of them don’t fit into your bill, you can still find several options on thefreecountry.com platform.

Once you follow these tutorials, you are one step ahead in designing your website. The critical elements during web development are search engine visibility, usability, and appearance. These are real-world issues that you need to handle during web development.

Search engine readiness is an integral part of web development. Promoting your website in the search engine should not come after web development. It starts at the stage where you are designing your website.

Google is the most popular search engine all over the world, and you should also think about how you can improve your ranking in their system. Web pages come with so many other issues. However, the ones that we have listed above will help you to star off.

Testing Your Website:

Testing the website is an integral part of the web design cycle. You need to check all your web pages in one of the major browsers (Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer 11, Firefox, and Chrome) as you continue with web development.

All the above browsers are available free of charge, and all you need to do is downloading the application. It will help you to tell whether the website is working as per your expectations. Also, test the site on your Smartphone to know whether it is mobile-friendly.

Also, you have to make sure that your site will work well with future versions of web browsers. You can do this by validating the coding for your pages. It entails checking the underlying coding on your website so that the CSS and HTML don’t have the syntax error.

You should not have technical knowledge on CSS and HTML to validate your page. The market has several free web page validators that will help you to carry out this task. If the validators find out that your web pages have errors, it may be tricky to understand where the problem lies.

You also need the right knowledge to tell whether the problem is severe or not. However, some of the code validators will give you a concrete suggestion on how you can fix these comes. One of these software is ‘HTML Tidy,” and it can even fix some of the errors on your behalf.

It is good to go for such solutions because they will make your work easier. You can solve some of these web development issues on your own once you get the right technical knowledge.

Collect Credit Card Information to Make Money:

Most websites sell products and services to their target audience. Therefore, you will need a way of getting credit card information from the potential buyer. Consequently, you should know the process of accepting credit cards on your website. You also need to add a “Buy Now” button and order form, especially if you will be using PayPal.

It is also good to advertise your website to the target audience. Several strategies can help you to increase the revenue that you get from your site, and you need to choose the best. The most important thing is to make sure that your website has the highest level of visibility in your niche.

Get Your Website Noticed:

Once your site is ready, the next thing is to submit it to the search engines. It entails creating a webmaster account at the search engines and verifying that you are the owner of that website. It is free to submit your site there.

Submitting your website to the search engines does not bring the web development process to an end. You need to find the best ways to promote your brand. You can announce it on social media among the other places online. It means that web development is a continuous process.

I have also come across some people who use the word to word technique to promote their website. You can even use newsletters to increase the popularity of your website. Several online agencies can also help you to create press releases so that more people can get to see your new website.

However, the key is to make sure that search engines can notice your website and rank it highly. An excellent starting point could be the Bing Search engines. Once your page starts ranking as the top of the Search Engine Results Pages, you will know that your web development efforts are on the right track.

This guide will take you through the web development process, even if you are a beginner. After some time, you will discover that web development is not as hard as you thought. The most important thing is to get a highly functional website that will help you to increase your revenue.

Would you like to set up a website for the first time? Call for the best web development guide.

As technologies and software becoming smarter and more efficient, it starts having a massive impact on humanity.

The advent of the Internet of Things (IoT) has implications not only for consumers but also for diverse

From a positive standpoint, a connected world opens up trillions of dollars’ worth of possibilities. For businesses, product companies, software innovators, physical hardware infrastructure providers and so on.

Most people might have heard about the concept- Internet of Things (IoT).

However, a majority of the population does not understand how it works, or what it constitutes.

In this article, we will try to analyze the meaning of the Internet of Things (IoT).

We will also look at how it affects normal human lives and what kind of implications it has for the world in 2019.

Internet of Things (IoT): Meaning and Definition

The Internet of Things (IoT)in a digital ecosystem is any physical product or information which-

  • Is connected to the internet
  • Stores data about human activities
  • Transmits that data to other products or software to enhance experience or productivity.
  • Gives you feedback, suggestions, and engagements via Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML)

For example, your Smart TV is part of the Internet of Things (IoT). Your Fit Bit digital watch is also part of the Internet of Things (IoT). Amazon Echo (Alexa), Apple’s Siri, Microsoft’s Cortana and Google Home are all part of the Internet of Things (IoT).

From the emergence of Smart Cities to Smart Technology, the world is slowly but surely embracing the Internet of Things (IoT).

To put things into perspective, Hubspot estimates that there are roughly 31 billion products and devices, which are connected to the internet.

It is almost incomparable to imagine a life without the Internet or the Internet of Things (IoT).

From asking Alexa to ‘what is in the news today’ to surgeons performing heart surgeries on screens with doctors, Internet of Things (IoT) is here to stay.

Advantages of Internet of Things (IoT)

With smart technology, a connected world has become a world in which science, innovation, and technology are making human lives easier. This means human beings are-

  • More aware and conscious of themselves and their surroundings.
  • Utilizing data and analytics to reassess issues, things, problems, and strategies.
  • Improving life patterns, usability, technology, and ease of living.

However, this perspective is only from the point of view of the Internet of Things (IoT) and consumers. The implications of the Internet of Things (IoT) for businesses is much more valuable. Both, in terms of economic pie-share as well as for larger tech innovations.

According to Intel, the use of Internet of Things (IoT) in business is expected to cross $6.25 Trillion USD! The majority of IoT tech is being used by manufacturing industries to better supply chain logistics. The second major beneficiary of IoT is the health and medicine industry.

From helping farmers control temperature and humidity through sensors to helping heart parents monitor their heart and sending off an alarm to their doctors, a section on the benefits of the Internet of Things (IoT) needs a separate article by itself.

Let us now look at some of the most basic advantages of IoT-

1. Helps Saves Time:

The processing of information is done at lightning speeds. This helps in saving time and communicating information across entities. When there are emergencies, this automation can help save lives, avert disasters and take preventive course correction measures.

2. Data Collection:

As the world moves towards Big Data, governments and world leaders look to utilize data to help in making informed decisions. Data analysis, management, and governance help users and companies plan and execute in a much better way. This helps in avoiding wastages and ensures that the right decisions are taken.

3. Promotes Efficiency:

By minimizing human error, or doing away with it completely in some cases, IoT ensures efficiency. This means that unnecessary costs and overheads are not borne by customers or companies. This also means that the cycle of a product (supply, distribution and other logistical requirements) reduces significantly.

4. Safer World:

With global terrorism very much a reality in 2019, a smart, connected world can help prevent violent acts of terrorism. The right CCTVs at the right location can detect abnormal behavior and can alert authorities. Many violent crimes and acts of oppression are being solved and curtailed using the Internet of Things.

5. Enhances the Quality of Life:

As the basic requirements of human needs are taken care of, man is free to concentrate on much more productive things. I strongly feel that IoT has helped humans become multi-taskers (but that might be just me). You do not need to spend five minutes booking a cab. You can simply ask Alexa to do it. If you add up five such minutes throughout the day, you have one hour extra at the end of the day. You can use that time to exercise or just listen to some music (maybe ask Alexa for that as well).

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in IoT

The quantum leap in IoT is in many ways because of the rapid advancements in AI and ML.

Without rapid advancements in AI and ML, IoT would never have become such a big phenomenon.

When we say that technological devices are becoming ‘smarter’, what does that really mean?

This means that through AI and ML, they are learning more and more about human behavior.

Tech products are imbued with intelligent software that store data and have the potential to analyze and process them.

This helps them predict human behavior and action and offer their services accordingly.

Just to give you a simple example, when you ask Alexa to book your cab every day in the morning, the Voice Assistant takes help from AI. It knows the home, triangulates it with the GPS location and pings the cab provider.

The primary task of IoT is to collect and analyze data from physical hardware and put it into use.

This is where AI and IoT combine to create and provide a more holistic experience.

Intelligent learning by software helps in making a predictive analysis.

The core aim ranges from predicting behaviors and possible outcomes. Once the two do not align, the software sends a signal that alerts about the transgression.

Sensors in physical products work with the software of the product to determine the best way possible.

This helps in improving customer or user satisfaction, aids in decision-making and increases efficiency.

Some of the Top Smart Technology used in Homes

In the last couple of years, the top-selling product during Christmas Holidays on Amazon was the Amazon Echo and the Google Dot.

As many of you already know, these two are the top Voice Search Assistants in the world today.

Apple OS and Android OS have been around for years.

We have also been using computers, laptops and cell phones for a very long time. These three devices can probably be the earliest IoT devices that man started using.

However, the best part about smart technology in a connected world is how futuristic things are becoming.

Amazon’s Alexa can perform more than 15000 functions! The list keeps on increasing every single day. Other voice assistants also perform a multitude of functions.

Voice-based assistants link themselves with other smart technology enabled technologies as lighting systems, television, and security systems offer a seamless experience.

Most of these things can be controlled and monitored through a Mobile Application (App).

When I was a kid, there was a show on Cartoon Network called the Jetsons. I am sure the creators of the show would not have dreamt of a world that we are living today in.

From the vantage point of a consumer who cannot do without smart technology, I find it extremely addictive. Human living becomes so much simpler when we are part of a connected world.

Problems and Dangers of the Internet of Things

There are thousands of big and small benefits of IoT. However, it would be foolish for us to ignore the warning signs of dangers.

When we are dealing with Yotta Bytes worth of data.

In the right hands, this data can be productive and efficient and be very helpful for human use. However, in the wrong hands, this kind of data can be very harmful.

In the recent past, tech and social media giants have come under scrutiny by governments and international organizations.

From meddling in Government Elections to being convicted in unfair competitive economic policies, the dangers of IoT are commonplace now.

Very recently, Amazon admitted that audio files on Alexa are not completely removed even after users delete them.

Amazon’s Public Policy Team made the disturbing revelation in a letter to a US Senator.

No central data policy governs the entire world.

All countries have their own norms when it comes to data privacy, storage, and processing.

This is why many issues become problematic in some countries, while they do not in others.

Most governments around the world have woken up to the dangers and problems of IoT.

They are drafting new laws and policies that are applicable to manufacturing companies, tech giants, and social media companies.

Even though firewalls and security systems are advancing rapidly, hacking abilities are developing as well. According to experts, there was a hacking attempt made once every 39 seconds in 2017!

IoT: The Third Wave of Information Technology

In the past couple of years, IoT has engrained itself in the fabric of human existence.

We are at a point in our lives where we cannot do without our Apps and our Voice Assistants.

With more and more people coming under the purview of the internet in the coming years, IoT is going to proceed unhinged.

Referred to as the third wave of information technology, IoT is instrumental in changing human existence for the better.

The first wave of Information Technology was the birth of computers. The second wave was brought upon when the internet was discovered.

With countries like China and India leading the race for internet spread and usage, (Indian has the cheapest internet prices in the world) the connected world is here!

Even though most companies realize the benefits of data and can store them. They have yet to find a full-proof solution to secure that data.

This is something that tech innovators and security experts have to pay attention to. Smart technology in a connected world can do many good things.

However, one false move can wipe out billions of dollars from the financial markets and expose personal details of millions all over the world.

In the near future, more and more products are going to assume a smart identity.

The technological footprint of mankind is going to keep on increasing by leaps and bounds.

The connected world will translate into a smaller world with access points for all. This will democratize access to information for even the poorest on the planet.

When we think of IoT, there is a sentiment of associating it with only consumer products and smart technologies.

We fail to take into account how a connected world has implications for multibillion-dollar industries like energy and health care. However, that warrants a separate article in itself.

In this article, I looked at providing a brief idea about the Internet of Things (IoT) and the implications it has on human lives.

If you want to contribute to the discussion, please drop in your views in the comments section below.

Until then…

The easiest, convenient, cost-effective and common method of finding relevant guest posting websites is to use Google search. Most of the websites that offer guest posts have a separate page for the feature and the page contains the guidelines for guest posting. Type your industry or niche along with “write for us” or guest blog and Google will give you a long list of websites that will be useful to you. To make sure that you find websites that do not have a separate page sharing guidelines for posts then you need to use different keywords in Google search. You can use other terms like guest contributor or columnist to get the desired results.

Effective in analyzing competitors’ backlinks:

To analyze the competitor sites that are medium or small sized then guest posting is an effective strategy. The big sites have thousands of backlinks which makes it hard and time-consuming to analyze them. There are some tools that can help in the task.

You can go through the profile of a blogger and you will be able to find links of the guest posts published by the blogger. It will help in creating a list of sites that are accepting posts of your niche.

Refining target list:

In a Google search, you will find a lot of websites that accept guest posts but not all of them are ideal for healthy link building. Refining the list is important so that you are able to share the post on a high authority site and effectively attract the audience. Not every guest hosting website is helpful in building quality backlinks. ‘

To refine the list you need to take a look at the domain authority. Any website with a domain authority more than fifty is a good choice. You should also go through the posts published on the website so that you can determine the quality of the content. If you find the content engaging and valuable then it should be a part of the list. Check the number of shares and comments as well.

The tone of the pitch plays a huge role in getting the attention of the sites and blogs. Start the pitch with a warm introduction and the message should be personal. Referring to a recent article is also helpful as it lets them know that you follow the posts.

The pitch should be straightforward so you should clearly state the purpose of the pitch. Mention a few post ideas as it will tell them that you have valuable and interesting content to offer. Sharing work samples is also helpful in making a good impression. The email should be interesting so that people find time to read it.

Then, it takes a lot of your money, time, and effort if you perform an audit manually. It is practically impossible if you have a business to manage. This is where the SEO tools come into play, saving your time, effort, and money as well as costing you less than a manual audit.

Let us cite an example of Screaming Frog, which is a free crawling tool spotting tons of website issues like missing page titles, web pages that are orphaned, broken links, missing Meta descriptions, page server errors, and poor page depth.

Other tools such as Majestic and SEMrush automate the process of web page optimization. You can pull a gamut of data and prepare an easy-to-understand report. You can produce such reports for your global clients at a cost of just $100.

There are fly-by-the-night SEO firms and black hat optimization tactics. Therefore, it is easy to be influenced by them. We are not saying all firms are like that but there are a few unscrupulous and shady firms out there. Then, if you are serious about your business, you will take time out of your busy schedule and understand the SEO tactics of your competitors.

You will find tools such as Raven or SEMrush to figure out what your competitor sites are doing to rank better in the SERPs. You will see traffic numbers, backlink strategies, content performance, and rankings in the search pages.

You can check from where the backlinks of your competitor sites are coming, the credibility of such sources, anchor text and things like that. You can use credible links from authentic sources that build quality traffic for your website.

Then, there are keyword opportunities. Use the SEO tools to determine which of the new or existing search terms your competitors are leveraging. Add those KWs to your list and build your site content using the KWs. This way, you can also plan to tap into new markets that you have not explored so far.

If you use tools like SEMrush, you can generate numerous KWs in no time. Use these search terms in your blog content, web pages, and articles. However, always use KWs that are relevant to your business, products, and services.

Look for KWs that convert for your content

Looking for the relevant KWs for your website, blogs, and articles are not as simple as it sounds. There are numerous relevant KWs for business and you need to choose from them. It is not as easy as identifying different KWs that show low competition and standard search volume. There are aspects that you need to consider. These include the intent behind searching for the KWs.

You need to figure out whether visitors are looking for information, get answers to their questions, or simply purchase an item that you sell. Once you get answers to these questions, your KW research will start and take the right path. Everything else is a waste of time and effort. There is no doubt about the same.

Looking for low-hanging KW variation is the first step when looking for search terms that convert. The SEO tools will help you spot KWs that you never paid attention to previously. The tools will help in generating KWs and the variations that you can use in different content types.

Understand what search terms your competitors are using. Then, assess which of the KWs in your website and blogs are performing. What are their rankings? Look for related KWs that will boost your content further to push your website high up in the search result pages.

Use KWs that have a buyer’s intent. These are the search terms to target. That is because they are more likely to convert. Even if the primary goal is not to sell products, use the high-converting KWs in your content to generate leads. These little things matter for your website SEO.

Now that you know about the benefits of SEO tools, use them properly in your content as well as your content marketing strategy. It will help your website rank high in the SERPs.

Google indexing will allow those people who search for your website online to find it. Therefore, no one will come across your site if it is not indexed correctly. This article will help you to learn how Google indexes new content and what you should be doing.

You can do several things for Google to crawl and index your website much faster. It is the only way to succeed in your digital marketing efforts. However, it is crucial to understand what is indexing and crawling before moving further.

Meaning of Indexing and Crawling:

To ensure that we are reading from the same page, we have to refresh our memories by answering the question “How does Google index new content.” This knowledge will help us to understand how Google indexing and crawling works.

The term crawling refers to the process of Google sending its specialized software (spider, crawler, or Google bot) to achieve unorganized data from existing and new websites. It is the basis for anyone who would like to learn how Google indexes new content.

Google uses this data to learn about your website and the pages that are on it. The information will help the search engine to assign specific phrases and keywords to the crawled pages. It stores them in a list that we call an index hence the term indexing.

Due to this, when a user enters his or her search query, Google will quickly scan through the list of all the indexed websites. It will only display the relevant and appropriate pages in the Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs).

Now that understand the meaning of the term indexing, let is move forward to look at how Google indexes new content. It will help you to know what you should be doing to get indexing for your website faster.

1. Improve Your Internal Linking Structure:

One thing you have to make sure is that all the pages in your websites are interlinked with one another. If Google indexes your homepage, all the other pages should be interconnected if you want Google to discover them and index them as well.

The best practices for internal linking structure recommends linking out to current pages in the new content pieces. With this, the web crawlers will quickly discover your new pages as they navigate from one link to another.

Besides, it is advisable to evenly spread high-quality links across the pages that have the highest importance to the conversation flow of your website. If not, you may end up with a homepage that is highly valuable to the search engines while the other pages of your website will remain tagged as low-quality.

Understanding the link structure is the best starting point to understand how Google indexes new content. Once you have internal links in place, you can start looking for inbound links as we are going to discuss in the next point.

2. Gain Inbound Links:

A good number of high-quality inbound links will help Googlebot to find your site quicker. When Google scans via online links, it can identify new websites. Therefore, when you have more pages linking out to a new page, you will increase the chance of Google finding it.

Your primary objective should be to build relevant and natural links from authority and popular websites such as Forbes and CNN. Therefore, you need to learn a lot about the link building process.

Moreover, publishing answers on popular Q&A websites like Quora can help you to enhance your link-building efforts and attract additional traffic. The other trick is commenting with your link on the Dofollow forums and blogs that allow users to pass along ‘link juice.’

You can use various search strings to get useful blogs. However, don’t over-do the link-building strategy and remember the quality of your links is the most critical factor.

It is better to have few but high-quality inbound links. A large number of low-quality links can end up harming your indexing efforts. Links from poor quality sources will not enhance the chances of indexing your website.

Therefore, you have to gain links from high-quality niche sites. It is the only way to have a positive impact on your search engine ranking.

3. Submit Blog Posts to Reddit and Digg:

You can also accelerate site indexing by publishing blog posts that link out your new content on social bookmarking websites such as Reddit and Digg.

Googlebot has a tendency of spotting and scanning through URLs on such websites much faster. However, it will take them one of two days to clear the job.  If you have so much to say about your website, make sure that the world is aware. It is a worthwhile effort that you cannot ignore.

4. Regularly Publish Fresh Content:

Pick the most appropriate days and time to publish new content on your website and stick to your schedule. When you actively add new content to your website, you will attract the crawling bots and motivate them to come back and rescan your site.

Therefore, when you update your website regularly, Google will have enough reasons to come back and re-crawl it. The most important thing is to make sure that the content is of great value to your readers so that the search engine does not tag your pages as low-quality. It can be so hard to bounce back from such a situation, and hence, prevention is better than cure.

5. Create Proper Navigation for Your Website:

You can create a positive impact on your indexing speed by setting up the navigation of your website correctly. This element is crucial for both web indexing and crawling and user experience.

For you to achieve this objective, you have to put in a lot of effort into improving your linking structure and navigation menu. Add a section for related articles, incorporate breadcrumbs, and be consistent and straightforward. Ensure that both robots and human beings can understand your website with a lot of ease.

6. Engage in Social Media:

One of the best ways to index your new content faster is making good use of social media. Before even launching your website, you need to create your profiles on various social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook.

If you have not yet done this, have no worries because it is never too late. Getting a high level of engagement in the form of likes and retweets is crucial for the search engine ranking position of your website.

Once your social media profiles are ready, add the link to your site in the account information section and then begin to link out to new webpages through your social media posts. Taking such actions will enhance the crawling rate of your new web pages.

Besides, be actively available on all your social media platforms by setting up engaging conversations and posting niche related updates and news regularly. As you create more social buzz around your website, you will get indexing for your site faster.

Therefore, social media is an answer for anyone who would like to learn how Google indexes new content.

7. Make Maximum Use of the Google Search Console:

I am sure that Google search console is an old hat for most people. It is one of the best ways to speed up Google indexing. Formerly, it was referred to as Google Webmaster Tools.

You can view all crawling statistics through this web service. You can also see additional indexing-related information like the number of URLs Google is indexing, the amount of time it takes, and many more.

The first thing that you need to do is verify your site on Google search console by making relevant the submission. In the past, you could only fill out the form, and you are good to go. This form would indicate the URL you wish to index, but Google decided to do away with that option.

Once you publish a new piece of content, go to the dashboard of Google search console, and then click on the URL Inspection button. You could also enter the URL that you wish to index directly in the search field.

The next page allows you to see whether your URL is indexed or not. Even if it is the case, you would want the crawlers to repeat the exercise because you have new content on your website that is not indexed.

Google will test to determine whether it can index your live URL, and you will receive an appropriate response in the form of a message. You can use the above process to request for the indexing of all URLs that have updated or new content through Google Search Console.

However, the maximum number of URLs that you can submit to Google Search Console per day for indexing is ten. Therefore, you need to pay close attention to this as you look for ways to allow Google to index your new content.

8. Submit XML Sitemap to Google:

An XML sitemap acts as Googlebot’s navigation guide and indicates all the pages that are on your website. The sitemap comes in handy if you own a big website because it saves the time that the bot uses to search for your webpages and makes sure that your site gets indexing faster.

Several sitemap generator tools will help you to get an XML sitemap. However, you will also get this option in the SE ranking.

When using the Website Audit tool, you can select the types of pages to be part of your sitemap. It also allows you to choose the frequency of page change and set up the priority for various crawl depths.

Once your sitemap is ready, you need to submit it to the Google Search Console. The process entails going to the ‘Sitemaps’ and then choosing ‘Add a new sitemap.’ It is a simple process that even a newbie can handle with a lot of ease.

You can also create separate sitemaps for videos and images that are on your website. You can also develop other sitemaps for the various subcategories for a large site. XML sitemaps will give you the opportunity of accelerating indexing and keeping your finger on the pulse of the whole process.

9. Check the Speed of Your Website:

Web sites that have a high loading speed have higher chances of receiving fast indexing from the crawling bots. Besides, the loading speed of your website is among the most important ranking factors for Google. Website speed plays a crucial role in accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP).

Therefore, if you have a feeling that your website is not loading fast enough, don’t hesitate to run a speed test. Otherwise, Google may not index your site at all because of slow-loading speed because it pays a lot of attention to the user experience.

10. Ping Your Website:

You can also alert the search engines and allow them to immediately know that there is a new piece of content through pinging. Search engines can encounter difficulties when searching for pages in your site, and the best way to solve this problem is through pinging.

Once you ping a website, you will be informing Google to come and check out for the new content piece on your site. There are several pinging services such as Pingoat, Pingler, and Pingomatic that can help the search engines to index your website much faster.

However, if you go overboard with the pinging exercise, the search engine can tag your website as spam. Therefore, you will be doing more harm than good to your indexing efforts. Thus, make sure that you are only adding essential updates and fresh content to the new webpages while using these tools.

Google Site Indexing Issues:

In case you have challenges getting Google indexing for your website, there are some things that you may need to do. Some of the interventions include;

  • Carry out a website or on-page SEO audit
  • Check your server response codes
  • Examine the primary web crawler log file
  • Run the website speed test and include mobile devices
  • Check out Google Search Console for the Index Coverage Status Report
  • Inspect the robots.txt file
  • Verify that your redirects are working properly particularly multiple ones

All these factors will give you more insights into how Google indexes new content. Besides, if you have duplicate content on your pages, Google won’t index them as separate pages.

How Google Indexes New Content: Final Thought

You have to make sure that Google indexes and crawls your new content. However, it will take some time for it to rank highly in the SERPs.

Fortunately, you can take a few essential steps to accelerate and influence the indexing process. Besides, the market has several tools that you can use for this purpose.

Microsoft Bing Search Engine- “The Moment of Discovery and Decision Making.”

The word ‘Bing’ has always been associated with humorous connotations. From the hit sitcom Friends, Chandler Bing, portrayed by star Matthew Perry emerged as a legend that endeared millions.

Likewise, for many years, Microsoft’s Bing Search Engine was ridiculed when it was first launched in 2009. The then Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer announced to the world, “BIIIINNNNGGGG’ amidst a lot of angst, sweat and tears.

Cut to 2019, and Microsoft has truly stepped out of the shadows of Bill Gates or Steve Ballmer. Microsoft in 2019 is very much Satya Nadella’s company. The soft-spoken and undramatic CEO of Microsoft has revitalized Bing Search Engine and Bing Search Marketing.

In May 2019, we celebrate ten years of the birth of Bing. In this article, we look at some reasons why Bing has been able to come out of Google’s illustrious shadows.

Bing Search Engine: A Brief Introduction

When Steve Ballmer announced Bing, he made a stark differentiation with Google. He stated that Google is where people go to search. Bing, on the other hand, is where people come to find answers. This was supposed to be something cool at the time. However, it just wasn’t meant to be back then.

In the first decade of the 21st century, Microsoft lacked identity. The behemoth was following in the footsteps of other giants like Apple, Amazon, and others.

The drive to create an indigenous digital identity was lacking big time. For every Apple iTunes, Microsoft had Zune. For every Apple iPad, Microsoft had Surface Tabs. Finally, for every iPhone, Microsoft had Windows Phones.

The company wanted to be cool when in reality its identity was never to be cool. This is where Satya Nadella did what his predecessors could not. He made ‘boring’ profitable.

In 2019, Bing might not be much when compared to Google; however, it is growing fast. This has been highlighted by figures from ComScore, which states-

  • According to Microsoft’s own data, there are more than 137 million searches happening on Bing every month.
  • In a recent report published by Microsoft, Bing controls 25% of all desktop searches in the world.
  • 50% of Bing users over the world are above the age of 45. In terms of demographic targeting, these are big numbers.
  • Bing controls the Voice Search Markets with full service on Apple’s Siri, Microsoft’s Cortana and Amazon’s Echo.
Advantages of Bing Search Marketing:

If I would have been writing this article five years back, you could have thought of it as easily a paid piece of content. Why? Because, back then, there were no advantages to using Bing. However, in 2019, the Nadellaissance has sparked a sift revolution in Bing search engine.

As of 2019, Bing’s revenues stand at $7.5 Billion. This figure comes from web advertising. If you compare Google’s revenues from web advertising, it stands at over $120 Billion. Yes, Microsoft’s Bing Search Marketing has a long way to go. However, we feel that there is a strategic vision for Bing that was absent before.

1. Bing Search Engine is Cheaper than Google in terms of Ads:

According to statistics, the average Cost-Per-Click (CPC) on Bing is far lesser on Bing than it is on Google Ads. The figure stands at-

  • $7.99 Dollars for Bing
  • $20.08 Dollars for Google

This is a remarkable differentiation, which goes to show, just how much Bing is affordable when you compare it with Google. Bing guarantees better ROIs, as the competition on Bing is lesser when compared to Google.

2. Better Leads and Conversions than Google AdWords:

In the last point, we have already discussed how Bing offers better ROIs. However, compared to Google, the quality of leads and final conversions on Bing are also better. This is because compared to Google, Bing offers a much longer description field for ads.

Specifically, Bing offers a limit of 71 characters, compared with Google’s 35 characters. This helps to convert more consumers.

3. Age Profile and Demographic Targeting:

I have already stated that 50% of Bing users are over the age of 45. This means that when you look at specific industries like Health and Medicine, Bing outperforms Google comfortably.

I feel this is where marketers and brands are not able to tap into Ning’s potential. Bing search marketing is favorable towards specific businesses like Hospitals, Wellness, Senior Travel, Community Homes, and others.

4. 3 Search Engines of Bing Versus 1 of Google:

Yes. Google is the big daddy of the search engine world. However, Bing has some small tricks up its sleeves. For starters, compared to Google’s search engine, Bing is there on Bing, Yahoo, and AOL.

This means that your ads get more exposure across 3 different search engine platforms. Like Google promotes its ad exposure on different company owned platforms like YouTube, Microsoft does the same too.

5. Voice Search Domination:

Bing search engine has the honor of working with 2 of the top 4 voice-based assistants in the world. Amazon’s Echo, Microsoft’s own Cortana and Apple’s Siri. This is huge if you look at the amazing number of voice search pulls in.

If the future of search engine marketing is a voice, Microsoft has bet big on making Bing a front-runner to the future. By aligning itself with the future, Microsoft has ensured that Bing will keep evolving itself to suit the changing digital marketing trends.

Where does the Bing Search Engine stand with regard to Privacy and Data Invasion?

The sight of CEO, Sundar Pichai sitting in front of Congress has not painted a pretty picture for Google. In the past couple of years, Google, along with Facebook has been in the news for all the wrong reasons.

Privacy invasions and data breaches have plagued the companies costing them credibility and billions of dollars. Even though Google maintains that it is secure and not open to manipulation, many people have lost trust. This is not only true in the USA, but also in most of the European countries.

In 2019, privacy and personal data have emerged as big issues that have rocked the tech world. Just before Google’s Annual I/O Conference, the Google Plus Data Leak had raised questions like-

  • What does Google do with user data?
  • Is the data sold to third parties and businesses?
  • What are some of the software flaws that gave out user data and information?

This is where Microsoft is slowly positioning itself as a worthy alternative. There is no direct communication from Microsoft or Bing on the privacy issue. Microsoft has rather used this communication in a much more subtle way.

If you are sick or fed up of Google’s Big Company screw-ups like Diversity Memos, or flagging Gay Videos as offensive, you can join a growing tribe of over a million people!

Options like Duck Duck Go that ensure full privacy are not a complete entity in terms of their offerings. Microsoft’s Bing is the only full-service entity that has not been embroiled in any data violation rumors.

Satya Nadella and the Bing Search Engine Turnaround:

The quiet and unassuming Satya Nadella has been handed the task of turning around a company that was not doing anything new. Microsoft was never cool; it was just not part of its identity. Microsoft was always about sticking to the roots kind of a success formula.

Satya Nadella ensured that like Bing, he turned around the heavy dependence of the company on hardware to software.

The growth of Microsoft’s Cloud Business ‘Azure’ has seen rapid turnarounds. Yes, it still lags behind Amazon’s Cloud, but it is still betting big on AI.

Nadella has also created a definite vision for the company from a strategic point of view.

Azure, LinkedIn, and GitHub are leading Nadella’s vision of what the future might be for Microsoft.

Nadella’s bunking of Nokia writing off nearly 7 billion dollars was another core decision that demonstrated his thinking.

Privacy-wise, Satya Nadella has been aggressive while speaking about issues to top business houses.

He has been known to talk about Amazon’s and Google’s excesses in subtle and intelligent words. This is in sharp contrast to the style of functioning that Steve Ballmer and Bill Gates had.

However, the most important change that Nadella has brought about in Microsoft is eliminating talk around ‘Windows’. Under Nadella, Microsoft ushered in what is known as the ‘Post-Windows Era’.

In terms of Bing Search Engine, Nadella had been instrumental in pushing Bing as default browsers in all Microsoft hardware. (The information on changing the browser is quite complicated for people over 45 years of age!)

The Future of Bing Search Engine Marketing:

Given the controversies, Google is locked in; the future definitely looks bright for Bing. Backed by Microsoft’s enormous resources. Bing is doggedly pushing ahead and improving year-on-year figures.

What seemed like a joke in 2009does not seem like one in 2019. No one, not even Bing’s worst critics joke about the search engine anymore.

With Microsoft continuing to dominate the PC hardware market, we will see more and more of Bing in every city, country, and continent in the world.

This is the right time for many brands and digital marketing agencies to make the transition to Bing. It is new, it is exciting, it is cheaper and it offers better ROIs.

If your brand or agency is not exploring 137 million leads every month, you are missing a lot of action.

Being a webmaster on Bing Search Engine is remarkably similar to that of Google. Bing also provides you with a set of webmaster tools like Google does.

You also have the option of exporting keywords from Google to run Bing Ad Campaigns. This means that you can continue a successful campaign on Bing.

Bing search engine and search engine marketing might be the world’s second favorite search engine. However, for you as a brand and an agency, it is too good an opportunity to pass up. Big is profitable, and that is a lesson for Microsoft’s entire team.

Even though Bing is nowhere close to Google in terms of searches or revenues, it is slowly getting there. Even if it is not a challenge, it is emerging as a viable alternative.

I would not suggest completely abandoning Google and making the transition to Bing. I know many people who did this just for the sake of it. Like bold revolutionaries!

Gmail, Google Maps, YouTube and others have created a Google eco-system that is difficult to move beyond. However, in reality, Bing is not that bad. I found Bing Maps to be quite good in terms of accuracy and information.

It might have been a joke when it was launched in 2009. However, ‘Bing It’ now is starting to get a zing about it.

Maybe it is because of Satya Nadella, or Steve Ballmer, or even Bill Gates…
