Can’t get over how adorable these two are! Had a lovely time photographing Matt and Mandy’s wedding day on June 1st. Ended up learning that this day was quite special as Mandy’s parents also got married on the first Saturday of June. However it down poured on their wedding day and although the weather forecast was calling for the same it held off until the reception for us. We even had some beautiful sun and blue skies in the morning.

Matt and Mandy had a first look in Waterloo Park within the gardens and the gazebo there. It was the perfect setting as Matt proposed to Mandy in a gazebo so it was definitely fitting. We then ventured around the park and then headed to the CIGI and Perimeter Institute for a more modern look which I loved the variety of looks.

It wasn’t very hard to get an adorable photo of Matt and Mandy together. They just bring out the spark in each others smiles when they look into each others eyes. We did have some hilarious moments too which really got them laughing and enjoying themselves.

After a busy morning of photos we headed off for a quick lunch break and then straight to the church to get them married. With a full house surrounded by so many friends and family Mandy had planned to sing to Matt as she walked down the aisle. It was to the song that was playing during their proposal. She did an amazing job and Matt was just grinning from ear to ear. Such a unique and special surprise.

Their reception hall was beautifully decorated and the food was delicious as always by Grace Frey. Speeches were lovely and entertaining. Overall it was a beautiful day and wish nothing but the best for Matt and Mandy on their new life together. Congrats

Spring time always makes for such pretty pictures when the leaves start to bloom on the trees and the colours start to pop. I had a great time walking the St Jacobs Millrace trail with Ben & Bethany during their engagement shoot to capture some beautiful photos of them. St Jacobs never seems to disappoint me, and it’s probably why I keep photographing here all the time. I always seem to find new spots and angles. Bethany and I go way back to our high school days so it has been great reconnecting and very special to now be capturing this next chapter in her life. Ben & Bethany actually go back even further and have known each other for a long time and attend the same church and now also work together. I am so pleased with how the photos turned out and how well they listened to direction as they mentioned they are both camera shy. I find once a couple is together and they look into each others eyes they bring out the true smiles in each other and I’m just their to capture it. Very cute couple and can’t wait for their wedding day this fall!

Matt & Vanessa, what can I say, you two are so adorable! This was constantly what I was saying throughout their engagement shoot. They were so full of smiles and laughter that made it very easy to get lots of gorgeous photos of them. We had a lovely warm Spring day to take the photos on. They mentioned they wanted a modern look for their engagement photos and I knew of the perfect place in town which was the CIGI building in UpTown Waterloo. Can’t wait for their wedding next Spring at Spencer’s At The Waterfront. Let’s hope for warm weather like it was for the engagement shoot!

Spring is finally here and started it off right with Ashley & Patricks engagement shoot at Snyder Flats in Bloomingdale. I had never photographed their before but knew it would make for some great shots with the pond and evergreen trees. It is a dog friendly area to so it was a perfect spot to bring their dog Bella along for some photos. We had a beautiful overcast day for it. Ashley and I go way back to our high school days so it has been great reconnecting and very special to now be capturing this next chapter in her life. She found herself a German man who I can see adores her and makes each other very happy. Ashley and Patrick were really sweet with each other in their photos and loved how they turned out. Being that their engagement shoot was on May 4th, Patrick had surprised me by mentioning that he is a big Star Wars fan and he has 2 lightsabers in the car that they would like to have a battle with them… I was so thrilled and of course I said yes!! We found some sand dunes which made for a perfect backdrop. Ashley busted out some awesome moves in her heels which looked awesome in photos. It was funny watching people’s reactions to what was happening when they walked by. I can sense that their wedding day is going to be a lot of fun and can’t wait to capture it this fall at the Cambridge Mill! I think the lightsabers might need to make another appearance at the wedding…

Had my first wedding of the 2019 season with this lovely couple. With the day calling for rain alllllll day it did not affect us at all as we had the perfect indoor location. Gil & Tracey got married at The Art Gallery of Burlington which was such a unique space for a small intimate wedding. You were able to browse the Art Gallery and take photos in it and they also had a beautiful green house you could go in too. I had such a blast with these two and their wedding party, always laughing and joking around with each other that I would just sit back and let them do their thing. It was adorable to watch.

They day was full of so much love and laughter. I loved seeing how happy they are together with everything that life has thrown at them in the previous years. They both had lost a spouse and had been battling to stay strong and find happiness when it seemed lost. But they truly have found that spark again in each other. During the speeches the number one thing people kept mentioning was how much they missed their smiles and how happy they are to see how much Joy they have in their lives again.

It was an absolute pleasure to be able to capture this chapter in both Gil & Tracey’s life. Wish them nothing but the best. Congrats again!

Had the pleasure of photographing Eddie & Jennifers fall wedding at the beautiful Ancaster Mill. They had their ceremony in the chapel on site which was a lovely setting and their reception room was beautifully decorated with lots of flowers, greenery and glass pumpkins. With the weekend calling for unpleasant weather we sure were fortunate enough to have a clear day on the Friday of their wedding. The Ancaster Mill grounds never disappoint with all it’s unique spots and waterfalls to photograph at. Jennifer looked absolutely stunning with her lace dress, floral crown and scarf and Eddie cleaned up well. The two of them were really sweet with one another and love the way Eddie looks at Jenn as he absolutely adores her. Family is very important to them and they really honoured their roots that day. One of the littlest details played such an important role, the rings they exchanged were Eddies grandparents. The family agreed that they were the ones to carry on the legacy. They are so honoured to have the privilege to wear them and will live a similar life of loving and raising their family the way they did. Very special. I’ve enjoyed our time together through out this whole process and they made it so at ease. Wishing them nothing but the best in their new life together. Cheers to the newlyweds!
