Some days ago, we celebrated the Feast of a New Saint of the Orthodox Church, Saint Paisios of Mount Athos (1924-1994)!

He lived in our days, and he performed many miracles both before and after his death. Glory to God!

Turn your mind towards Him continually. Learn to love prayer, familiar converse with the Lord. What counts above all is love, passionate love for the Lord, for Christ the Bridegroom. Become worthy of Christ’s love. In order not to live in darkness, turn on the switch of prayer so that divine light may flood your soul. Christ will appear in the depths of your being. There, in the deepest and most inward part, is the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God is within you [Luke 17:21].

Speak well of those who speak evil of you.

Pay good for evil.

Pray for those who cause you various offenses, wrongs, temptations, persecutions.

Whatever you do, on no account condemn anyone; do not even try to judge whether a person is good or bad, but keep your eyes on that one evil person for whom you must give an account before God–yourself.

- St. Ignatius (Brianchaninov)

Today, among other Saints, we celebrate Saint Elizabeth the Great Duchess of Russia. Her story is truly inspiring, as she embraced Orthodoxy with all her being.

Blessed Feast!

Repentance is the renewal of life. This means we must free ourselves from all our negative traits and turn toward absolute good. No sin is unforgivable except the sin of unrepentance.

God does not forsake you. It is because he wishes to increase your glory that oftentimes he permits you to fall sick. Keep up your courage so that you may also hear him say: ‘Do you think I have dealt with you otherwise than that you may be shown to be just?’

— St. John Chrysostom

I rarely make posts of artists or artworks, but I am really excited to find Orthodox projects that are truly amazing! This one is truly amazing for Sunday Schools, kids rooms, but it also decorates my room perfectly!

You don’t become holy by fighting evil. Let evil be. Look towards Christ and that will save you. What makes a person saintly is love.

- St. Porphyrios
