Sweat and Milk is the best, you guys! I just want to get that right out there before anything else. Oh, and happy Mommy Monday, too! As always I’m here to give you an update on mom life and how I’m dealing with all the ups and downs of being a new mom while juggling being an influencer, stylist, and all the other balls I have to keep in the air. Today, it’s all about my continuing goal to stay active and healthy and how Sweat and Milk is helping me do that.
Staying Active for the Right Reasons
A few months ago, I shared my thoughts on bouncing back from pregnancy and the struggle I had to love myself and the new body I have. At first, I really wanted my old body back – you know, the one with no tummy bulge and squishy skin that could wear the cutest bikinis no matter how big or small. What I came to realize through that journey is that I’ll never have the body I did before my little angel came into the world, and I’m totally okay with that. The body I have now did amazing things. It made a baby! It made the best baby ever, if I do say so, and that’s the biggest reason I love it so much.
These days, I still want to stay active, but I want to do it for the right reasons. I’m in love with my body and my baby, and I want to make sure I stay healthy, active, and happy. I want to always be able to do all the things that make mommyhood so great, and as she grows, I want Amelia Rei to have no limits on what she can do just because mommy can’t keep up. That’s why I’m more committed than ever to stay active and stay active for the right reasons. It’s like the saying goes, I workout because I love myself, not because I hate myself.
The Challenges of Staying Active as a New Mom
As a newish mom, there have been lots of challenges to staying active. Of course, in the beginning, there were physical limitations. Giving birth is NOT easy, and there’s a period of just bouncing back physically. I’m through all of that. The challenges of working out now are more logistical. I have to figure out how I can work out and still do all my mom stuff. For me, that means either setting up my Pack and Play or Dockatot nearby while I work out. It also means that I have to find a way to be comfortable while I work out and still be able to breastfeed Amelia if she needs it. Let me tell you, breastfeeding has been the hardest part by far. Have you ever tried to get your boobs (or even one boob) out of a regular sports bra? It’s like breaking out of sports bra prison! It has been so tough, but now I have some wonderful new sports bras that make it super easy for me to be comfortable while I workout and still breastfeed whenever I need to. It’s also been a big help in getting the balance back in my life because I can be active and be a mom without having to choose between the two.
Staying Active with Sweat and Milk
Sweat and Milk is my answer to staying active and being able to breastfeed at any time. This wonderful line of sports bras was designed by a mom just like me. The founder, Lucy Chalmeton, designed these bras because she couldn’t find sports bras that were stylish, supportive, and nursing-friendly. I’m in love with these bras, ladies. They keep the girls supported and where they need to be, which is important when you’re breastfeeding. One thing no one tells you about breastfeeding and pregnancy is how much bigger your breasts get. It’s hard to keep them where they need to be sometimes!
Sweat and Milk does that and more. They have a crossed back that offers extra stability, super cute colors, and with one snap or zip, I’m able to easily breastfeed Amelia without all the escape artist tricks I had to use with my other sports bras. Now, I can stay active, look cute, and easily breastfeed at a moment’s notice. It’s made working out so much easier!
Sweat and Milk Makes Staying Active Easy and Stylish
We all want to be healthy and strong for our kids, and with Sweat and Milk we can do that so much more easily and be super stylish at the same time! If you’ve been struggling with working out while breastfeeding, I can’t recommend Sweat and Milk enough. In fact, I recommend it so much that I’m offering a code to help entice you to go order because I know you’ll love these sports bras, too. When you use my code: ALILEVINE, you’ll get 15% off your order. Give them a try, my dears. You’ll love them!
Happy Saturday loves! I was recently in Vegas where I was part of a Mother’s Day segment on Las Vegas Now, and I had so much fun! I was there to share some fabulous Mother’s Day must-haves to make every stage easier as a mama. Las Vegas Now host, Lindsey Gurk and I had such a blast talking about being a mama and how these products help me every day. I got so many questions about these amazing brands that I thought it was time to give you all some info on each and every one of them and where you can get them for yourselves!
Las Vegas Now Fab Mother’s Day Items
First, I want to say that I love all of these! As a new mom, I often feel overwhelmed or I realize that I can’t do the things I used to be able to do in quite the same way. Everything is so much different when you have a baby! That’s why I’m in love with these brands. They help me do my mom thing and my Ali thing, which helps me keep some much-needed balance in my life!
One of my favorite items these days is Dockatot. It’s wonderful because it allows me to do everything I need to do as a mom and still keep my little one nearby. With Dockatot, I can keep my bundle of joy with me all the time, even while she sleeps! It’s a safe place for her to sleep. Its soft, bumper sides keep her from falling off in her sleep, and its breathable materials and 12 liters of air circulating through it per minute make it safe for her to sleep without having to worry about her breathing.
It also comes in a ton of fun, trendy prints, which I love, and has an easy to wash cover. Even the tubing inside can be washed! It comes in two sizes: Luxe for children up to 8 months old, and Grand for children from 9 months to 3 years.
Before you move on, remember it’s important to remember that this should never go in a crib. Keep it on a flat floor at all times. You can refer to Dockatot’s website for safe sleeping practices.
I love Eighteen B, you guys. Being a mom doesn’t mean I’ve stopped taking care of myself, and Eighteen B helps me keep my skin looking beautiful! This stuff is the real deal. It was created by a young mom with a PhD in biomedical engineering, and it’s scientifically-designed to moisturize AND protect our skin. It uses a special b-silk protein that’s only available through this brand that forms a lightweight barrier that moisturizes as well as protects our skin from pollution, abrasion, and dirt! It’s the perfect double-duty beauty product for moms.
I use the hydrogel as a daily moisturizer because it layers well under sunscreen, make-up, and similar products I use. The rich cream is my go-to for nighttime skin repair. Both of them are clinically tested to deliver visible firming and lifting, enhanced smoothness, and overall radiance. They’re perfect for any mom who wants to look her best.
Here’s the big kicker, you guys. All Eighteen B products are vegan, clean, sustainable, and leaping bunny certified, so they’re as good to the environment and animals as they are to us.
You can get a great deal on Eighteen B products right now. Use my code: ALI15 at checkout to get $15.00 off your purchase through May 31st!
Sweat and Milk
You all know I’ve been on a mission to get back into shape since I had my baby. While I know I’ll never be quite the same as I was before I got pregnant – which I’m totally okay with – I do want to keep a healthy lifestyle so I can keep up with my little one. That’s why I’m in love with the sports bras from Sweat and Milk.
Being active is so important to me, but it can be hard to feed my baby when the girls are all cooped up in a sports bra. Sweat and Milk helps me stay active AND easily feed my baby at the same time. Created by Lucy Chalmeton, a mom who was never able to find sports bras that were stylish, supportive, and nursing friendly, Sweat and Milk is the answer for all active moms. They’re super stylish, high-quality, and functional, so I’m free to get sweaty and still breastfeed whenever the need arises. It’s the best of both worlds!
If you pick up some of these – and you should – use my code: ALILEVINE to get 15% off your order!
Another favorite feature from my Las Vegas Now segment is Yumi. Yumi is a baby food delivery service that makes it super easy for moms to give their babies fresh, organic, nutrient-dense foods. I’m in love with their new Tot Box, which they just launched. It helps moms keep giving their baby super nutritious food while they transition from the breast or bottle to solid foods. Amelia Rei eats it every day along with my breast milk, and she loves it.
Tot Box features plant-based, super tasty heat-and-eat options that are super easy to give to our kids, and we get them fresh every week! They’re perfect for a snack or as sides for part of a larger meal. Tot Box comes with 3 patties – Cubano Bite, Pizza Bite, and Carrot Spinach Millet Bite AND a jar of Cauliflower Puffs. They’re perfect for on-the-go snacking.
What I love more than anything else about Yumi is that it’s super healthy. Their food is mapped out exactly to baby’s growth so we moms never have to worry, and all their purees and finger foods were developed by chefs and nutritionists to make them extra delicious and super healthy. They also prepare your baby’s palate to love healthy food rather than junk! I also love that I have more time with my little girl because I’m not chopping, preparing, and cleaning up a mess!
Pricing for this service starts at $35.00 a week, so it’s super affordable, too. Right now, it’s even more affordable When you use my code: ALILEVINE, you’ll get 60% off your first month!
Las Vegas Now and Mom Products was a Great Combination
I had such a wonderful time showcasing all of these products on my Las Vegas Now segment. Lindsey Gurk was such a dream to work with, and all these products really excite me. I hope they excite you just as much, too. One thing I’ve learned as a mom is that good, quality products help make mom life easier, and I thoroughly believe in all of these. Go take a look at my Las Vegas Now segment and see these products in action!
Check out all about Pamela below, how she started Select 7 (such a great story) and her so chic style!!
1) Here’s a little introduction of Pamela and Select 7
Pamela Schein Murphy, Founder + Creative / Editorial Director, The Select 7, a curated lifestyle website that unlocks the world of today’s tastemakers by exploring their 7 Select interests within the worlds of philanthropy, food, wellness + beauty, travel, fashion, interior design and social media + technology.
2) Tell us a little about yourself, your passions, what lead you to select 7 and anything else you want to share!
Starting The Select 7 was really kind of an accident. I’m a huge researcher and I love to plan. About three years ago I curated a trip to Paris for a friend’s birthday and it was on the last night of that trip that one of my friends told me I should start a blog. I answered with a resounding no: the idea of a blog wasn’t all that appealing to me. My daughter (she was 12 at the time), said, what about a website? And that struck a chord because it felt like something I could really create: the design, the words, the topics. She actually started the website for me that year for Mother’s Day and I took it over and started playing around with the idea of curation and recommendations, of sharing information, and it turned into The Select 7.
3) Tell us about your style.
My main goal in life is to figure out how to always be comfortable while also not looking like I never change out of my PJs. So maybe my style is sweatsuit chic?
4) What’s to come and what are goals you’re working on? (Anything new with projects or that you want to share)
The Select 7 is still relatively new and I’m just really working on getting the word out! We have some really exciting guests coming up who I’m excited to share and we’re launching a podcast, The Select Sessions in the next few months that will bring our guests off the page and into real life.
Thank you Pamela for sharing! Go follow her and check her out! And if you love this comment or leave us a Yap below!!

Happy Friday dolls! Ali was super excited and grateful to feature Jola and her story below.
As you know Ali lost her grandmother (Dodo) to lymphoma and this woman’s amazing story and passion really resonates with her and us.
Read on below all about Jola.
1) Tell us about yourself!
My name is Jola Rothman (pronounced “yo-la”). This business began as an opportunity for me to raise money for a cause I’m passionate about. Last year I ran for and won Woman of the Year for my local Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, raising $158,000. As a part of my fundraising efforts, my friend and I knitted and sold almost 100 hats in two months. It was fun to knit beautiful and luxurious hats and seeing people enjoying them and feeling great while wearing them. After the campaign, people continued to request hats from me, so Birch Hats was born!

Birch Hats started on Feb 28 2019 which would have been my Mom’s 80 Birthday
2) Your career/background?
In my late teens and early twenties I was a model working for an agency in Cracow, Poland. I was hired by the Satchi and Satchi agency to film a Head & Shoulders commercial shot in Madrid, did runway work for several international designers including Paco Rabanne, and had a small part in Schindler’s List, which was filmed mostly in Cracow. I got to be directed by Steven Spielberg and kiss Liam Neeson on camera! Later, I worked for the hair product company Wella in regional sales and owned a hair salon. After getting married and moving to the States, I worked at an Interier design company in Washington, D.C. and managed the Georgetown Pottery Barn store.
3) Your passions/what inspires you?
I am passionate about cooking, baking, gardening, knitting, living a healthy lifestyle and of course travel! I love yoga and meditation. I love nature and the beauty that comes with it. I am inspired by the success of other women!
4) Your style/3 words to describe it and why?
Urban simplicity, classic elegance, workout chic. As a busy mother of 3 who also has a love for fashion and aesthetic, it’s important for me to dress for all of the challenges that face me in my crazy daily life, but to look and feel good while I’m doing it. As a European, I grew up in an environment where fashion was really celebrated, and that has stuck with me!
