InsideSurgery.com is following with concern the collapse and cardiac arrest suffered by Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin during what looked like a routine hit during a game against the Bengals on Monday night. While we are not involved in the care of Hamlin we have noted developments through media reports. Although InsideSurgery is not participating in the care of the Auburn football player injured on the kickoff in the game against LSU, we are noting the concerning videotape and reports from the stadium. The injured player was running down the field at full speed and struck the LSU kick returner on the side with the top of his helmet. He immediately fell to the ground without any apparent movement. Nurse Nicole Linton of Houston was arrested for the fiery crash that killed five people in Los Angeles. Surveillance cameras recorded video of her speeding through an intersection in a Mercedes sedan and striking two cars, causing them to burst into flames.
