So excited to be participating in the Colour INKspiration this week as it gave me the perfect opportunity to play with a fun technique I haven’t done in a long while – Diecut Inlay.   I have keep this card so simple only using the Tasteful Textures Bundle and the cute little scalloped rectangle for the greeting.  For those who haven’t tried this technique it really is quite simple all you have to do is pick a die and cut the pattern out in a few different colours and use the pieces, like a little jigsaw puzzle, to fill in the spaces in the cut image. I really loved this combi ..read more

Today I am so excited to be joining in the super fun Social Stamping Blog Host which was is the idea of my wonderful friend (and fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator) Kelly Kent.   Kel’s idea was that during these crazy times of “social distancing” we could all still come together and share a little happiness (and colour) through our creativity with a themed blog hop each week.  This is actually for week 4 of the hop and so so glad I have finally found time to join in the fun.  The theme for today is “friend” and it was just perfect as I was creating some happy mail for a ..read more

Today I have a super fun and easy card to share with you all using this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge.  For my card I have kept it super simple using just one stamp set, one punch and a simple colour palette of: Rococo Rose, Crushed Curry, Shaded Spruce and Blueberry Bushel.  I used the Layered with Kindness stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create a simple and really stunning background panel – I used the three smallest images from the set and randomly stamped them onto some white card stock.  The trickiest part of this card was fussy cutting the leaves that I stamped in Shaded Spru ..read more

With everything that is going on at the moment the good news is I am still finding time to create – and I hope you all are too – the bad news is that my blog posting is getting a little behind with not much time to photograph, edit and upload.  But I did want to share with you a super sweet and quick card I made for the current Colour INKspiration challenge. The colours are divine together and I decided right away I wanted to make some coffee cups using the Rise & Shine stamp set from Stampin’ Up! that is available – only for a few more days – for FREE during Sale-a-Bration.  With my cup ..read more

With all this wet weather we are having in Queensland I am running a little behind with my post for the Colour INKspiration challenge this week but better late than never right? For this challenge we have a beautiful combination of Highland Heather, Pool Party, Gray Granite and Pear Pizzazz which I thought worked perfectly with the Happy Birthday to You stamp set that you can still receive for free as part of Sale-A-Bration. I decided on flowers for my card not just based on the colour but also the gorgeous photo inspiration we have this month.  So to add even  a little more floral element ..read more

Welcome to this month’s Creation Station blog hop which is all about embracing “The Full Monty” – yes we are talking about the Stampin’ Up! phenomenon of ‘one of everything’.  Everyone in the design team has made their project for this fun hop using an entire suite – or at least most of the products from it.  I was absolutely thrilled about this theme and knew straight away I wanted to showcase the Best Dressed Suite from the Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalogue. One of my favourite things from this super cute suite is the Designer Series Paper, there are so many adorable patterns and colours that I ..read more

Today I want to share a super sweet card with you featuring the NEW Tropical Oasis Suite from Stampin’ Up! This delightful suite is on pages 38-40 of the new Mini Catalogue and just has so so so much to love.  I have used the fabulous Paper Craft Crew Sketch for my inspiration and even though the sketch is super simple I have managed to jam-pack my card with quite a few new products from the suite. The Coastal Weave 3D embossing folder makes a fabulous background for this card, which features the hibiscus image from the Timeless Tropical stamp set as the focal point.  My flower is stamped w ..read more

It is hard to believe but the Colour INKspiration challenge is three years old today and what better way to celebrate this fantastic milestone than with a “Birthday” themed hop with the fabulous Design Team. I am using two of my favourite stamps set from the new Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalogue Bonanza Buddies and Music From the Heart which are just the most perfect birthday card sets. For this special occasion everyone is encouraged to pick their top 3 colours for the challenge (that was almost a challenge in itself) – I finally settled on Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight and Grapefruit Grove ..read more

Welcome to the first blog hop of 2020 for the Creation Station team and we have a hop jam packed with “Resolution Solutions” to get you organised for the new decade. I have created possibly one of my most favourite projects EVER – a Midori Style Traveller’s Note Book.  I have possibly also taken way too many photos of this project but there is just so much I wanted to show you including the customised Stampin’ Up! style inserts I made for it – two mini file folders and a grid/plain page note book … are you ready to see it? My completed notebook size is 7¾” tall by 4½” and is made up of a lea ..read more
