Character design can be tricky sometimes.  For me, I start off with the initial problem-solving in trying to figure out what the character will look like.  I do this by sketching out any options I can think of, like their overall shapes and proportions, expressions, body language, clothing, etc...  Once I've locked into a visual I like, the trick is then to figure out how to draw that exact same visual over and over again consistently.  One of the ways I do that is by repetitively drawing the character to develop a muscle memory on what exact shapes, sizes, and det ..read more

  Happy New Year!  Time to get back on the bandwagon and blog! Last year I went down the rabbit hole of plant-based eating after reading Gut by Giulia Enders.  This book talks about the importance of the gut microbiome and the relationship between it and our overall health.  I'm focusing now on eating tons of fiber and a wide variety of plants to make the tiny creatures inside of my gut happy.  Happy bacteria = happier and healthier me!
