Recital Our year end recital is just a few weeks away!  We are performing June 1st at Hillcrest Junior High School (don’t go to Hillcrest High School!).  Shows are at 12:00 and 2:00.  Most dancers are only in one show.  If you aren’t sure which show your dancer is in, you can check here, or shoot us an email and we’re happy to verify for you. Last weekend the Dance Concepts competition teams attended Arise in Roy!  This was our only THREE DAY competition this season.  In addition to the scores listed below, as a studio we were awarded Best Choreography and Intermediate Reserve Grand Champion! Thank you for an amazing recital last weekend!  It was great to see our dancers so bravely take the stage and show us what they’ve been working on. It really felt like the kick off to the holiday season. Wear Your Festive Dance Wear! Winter Recital Our winter recital is December 2nd at 4:00!  This year’s theme is the Muppet Christmas Carol.  You’ll enjoy the show more if you’ve seen the movie, so pop some popcorn and plan a family movie night. Our March Word of the Month is Confidence!  Growing up, dance was a huge contributor to me developing a sense of confidence.  We often ask dancers to perform in a way that shows confidence in the way they move and hold themselves, even if they don’t feel all the way confident at the time.  That space to “try it on” and even “fake it til you make it” can be really beneficial.  I hope you all find a place to practice confidence in your life this month. -Erica Spring Break We are closed for Spring Break April 1-5. StepUp was our first official competition of the season! We started our with solos, duets and trios on Friday.  Some dancers did their first solo ever! We had a couple hiccups.  Victoria’s solo had the wrong cut of music uploaded but she handled it with grace.  Myla threw up backstage but still went on to dance.  Overall, our dancers were great! Saturday started early with some of our teams there at 7:00am!  The competition was in Heber and there was a large snow storm during the day.  It slowed things down a little bit, but thankfully cleared up before the compet ..read more
