This past year has been especially challenging, and painting has definitely been a form of self-soothing for my anxieties.   I have been growing my studio practice by working almost daily, often late into the quiet hours of the night.  I fall asleep most nights with images of paintings in my head, sometimes even dreaming that I am still working to resolve a piece (no rest for the weary).   This spring, I was once again completely drawn in by the profusely blooming spring trees in my area.
