A word from your Missions Office By HEITH MITCHELL On May 3-4  the BMA hosted the annual Hispanic Men’s Conference at Daniel Springs Camp.  This conference has been going on for years but I don’t believe it has ever been this well attended.  There were over 150 men from 23 churches at the conference.  Elvis Garcia did a wonderful job putting it on.  The theme this year was Men of Conviction.   The BMA is blessed with men of conviction who are examples of meekness.  These men played soccer, cut up, and took prayer, worship, and the word very seriously.&nb ..read more

A word from your Missions Office By HEITH MITCHELL I am writing this article right after experiencing the eclipse beside each of you. Wow! What an experience! We were among a thousand-plus people watching it. Across the full eclipse, there was silence. Everyone was staring at the sky as one. This ended with a sudden burst of light and with shouting and clapping. It was a moment of awe that led me to worship. They are all gearing up for Easter outreach and services. They need our prayers. We just finished up another successful audit and our staff is celebrating. You have a fine staff serving you in your Texas Missions. In 2023, 91 percent of your giving went to the mission field with only 9 percent being spent on the ministry. A word from your Missions Office By HEITH MITCHELL BMA Texas Missions hosted the second annual Young Intern Leadership Retreat in Lindale Jan. 18-20. It was a beneficial event. Larry Bickel, Todd West, Jerry Fulton, Brad Holcombe and I shared leadership equipping with these 12 young people. We sang, prayed, spent time in the Word and worked on ourselves while building relationships. We took a break and escaped a Tyler escape room in the middle of the retreat. A word from your missions office By HEITH MITCHELL We are excited about three new missionaries starting this month.  All three of them have been equipped and sent out of BMA Churches.   Brad Cauley is preparing to make disciples in Cedar Park.  Brad is an Elder at Antioch Church in Georgetown and is being sent out by them. Lisandro Barrueta Is making disciples in San Antonio.  He was discipled in the ministry of Iglesia Bautista Misionera de San Antonio and pastor Cesar Leal.  He has completed an internship there with the church.
