Sunday, June 2, 12:15 pm Luncheon will follow the Annual Meeting at approximately 12:15 pm in Chapel Hall. We’ll be serving your choice of rotisserie chicken salad, tuna salad, or egg salad; fresh greens, pasta salad, rolls. and assorted beverages – with our famous strawberry shortcake for dessert. Tickets are $15 per person. The deadline for reservations is May 28, but if you’re a little late and would still like to attend, call the Church Office at 401-331-1960. Sunday, June 9, 11:30 am The annual Church Picnic is always a wonderful celebration of almost-summer. This year, Central children and youth will offer a musical / dramatic presentation during Worship. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy the fresh air and warm weather as a community of faith. Please bring some picnic sides or sweets to share. The Religious Education Committee will provide hotdogs, hamburgers, vegetarian burgers, and beverages! PrideFest Volunteers Needed

Central is a longtime supporter of Rhode Island PrideFest, scheduled for Saturday, June 15, at Providence Innovation District Park (120 Peck Street, on both sides of the pedestrian bridge). We need volunteers to staff our booth! There are three shifts: 10 am to 12 noon (set up), 12 noon to 2 pm, and 2 to 4 pm (clean up). We also need volunteers to march in the parade, which kicks off at 8 pm. For more information or to volunteer, please contact the Church Office. Sunday, May 19 Please join Central’s church school children in a collection for the Egg-a-Day Childhood Nutrition Program in Haiti. This program has provided high-quality protein to more than 2,500 Haitian children, while teaching them how to raise their own chickens. Pick up a plastic egg in the coatroom vestibule and return it by May 19 with your donation inside. $60 provides one child with one egg every day for a year! Scripture tells us that Jesus spent these 40 days post-resurrection with his apostles, preparing them for his departure.
