Fact Checking National Committeewoman Race Emails

On April 15th we sent a communication regarding the race for National Committeewoman which will culminate with a vote at the upcoming Quadrennial Convention. What we have seen from further emails has been a series of emails so outlandish they are nearly beyond comprehension, as it puts our party’s moral decay on full display: Fact-Checking Mrs. Tinnin  An email from Anissa Galassini Ford Tinnin sent on April 19th leveled accusations of sexual harassment against Sarah Jane Allen’s husband. We researched whether Mrs. Tinnin was telling the truth and found a complaint which origina ..read more

Important Update: RPNM Quadrennial Convention
The New Mexico Conservative Action Committee
by NM CAC

New Mexico’s State Quadrennial Convention happens during each presidential election cycle. Its purpose is to elect delegates from New Mexico for the national convention. At the national convention, these delegates will cast our state’s votes for the Republican candidate for president who wins the New Mexico presidential primary vote. This year the process is just a formality, assuming that nothing happens to President Trump between now and the national convention. However, there is another order of business at the Quadrennial: We will be voting for RPNM’s national representatives, our National ..read more

Pearce Breaks Rules by Endorsing Jay Block for State Senate

Steve Pearce Breaks Rules by Endorsing Jay Block for State Senate Jay Block was popular amongst the SCC in 2022. That’s why Steve Pearce allowed Block to campaign to the SCC using the state party’s email system yesterday. Block wrote, “Many of you who know me, know I am very impatient, and I want change now. I want to win now and I want this state and country to change now.” Block also wrote “Pearce deserves our support,” and made sure to mention that “The most important positions in the party… are the ward chairs.” These are the words of a candidate looking for money and volunteers ..read more

Pearce’s Bad Rules Committee Appointees Part 1
The New Mexico Conservative Action Committee
by NM CAC

There are some serious issues with many of the RPNM state chairman’s Rules Committee appointees. If any appointees voted to hold either of the recently called (State Central Committee) SCC meetings, they will definitely vote in favor of allowing regular virtual SCC meetings, which means they should be disqualified from their appointments. They voted to violate the party rule stating SCC virtual meetings only be held virtually in cases of public emergency.  Anissa Ford-Tinnin should be disqualified from her appointment. She has been the subject of at least two criminal investigations relat ..read more

In-Person SCC Meetings are Crucial
The New Mexico Conservative Action Committee
by NM CAC

RPNM rules state virtual meetings are only appropriate in emergencies, when in-person meetings are prohibited by government, or due to acts of God. We Republicans opposed COVID lockdowns and abuse of emergency powers. We should oppose any attempt to solidify emergency restrictions within our party. Party meetings should be held in person so that the State Central Committee can have real discussions about changes to the rules. Without adequate discussion, rules might be changed to benefit a party faction, or might hurt our ability to help our candidates win races. Since 2020, only virtual meeti ..read more

Three Key Issues for RPNM SCC Attention
The New Mexico Conservative Action Committee
by NM CAC
3M ago
To the State Central Committee of the Republican Party of New Mexico, There are three key issues we wish to bring to your attention about this upcoming SCC meeting on September 9th, each a topic of discussion for future emails: 1) Virtual SCC meetings are a bad idea. At one point because the Democrats shut down the state and restricted gatherings, but now virtual meetings are not necessary. We have seen how poorly they have been conducted over the past three years and this needs to stop. 2) When the state chair appoints state officers or rules committee members, the SCC needs to scrutinize the ..read more

How Steve Pearce Created New Factions and the Libertarian Party
The New Mexico Conservative Action Committee
by NM CAC

The Republican Party of New Mexico has failed badly at promoting honest primaries. From poorly run party conventions to party officers not following rules, the RPNM has created a mess of what would otherwise be an unbiased party primary system. Until the 2022 election cycle it was illegal for party officers to even get involved in party elections financially (NMSA, 2020), yet they did it behind the scenes, picking favorites and/or squashing candidates who did not toe the chairman’s line. Their favorite tactic is looking the other way when their chosen candidate’s campaigns were not run correct ..read more

Congratulations Steve Pearce, Dems Are Prepared
The New Mexico Conservative Action Committee

“Be nice to Steve Pearce!” the Democratic Party of New Mexico states, “He’s trying his best.” It felt more like a selection process than an election–- Saturday the Republican Party of New Mexico sentenced Republican candidates and voters to another two years of Chairman Steve Pearce, complete with poorly-run state conventions and state central committee meetings, located in places that put Pearce at an advantage but leave everyone else hanging. After winning the RPNM Chair race, Steve Pearce says: “Turning New Mexico red is a marathon, not a sprint, and as we look toward 2024, I am e ..read more

29 Strong for Steve Pearce?
The New Mexico Conservative Action Committee
by NM CAC

Only 29 out of 479 endorse Steve Pearce? The endorsement letter sent Thursday by the Steve Pearce for Republican Party of New Mexico Chair campaign listing 29 members of the SCC was completely odd, it makes some bold claims about RPNM’s infrastructure. A rented office space and a salaried copy writer is not a working infrastructure. Relying on the RNC and your own candidates for the bulk of your fundraising is not infrastructure. Claiming that GOP Data Center is some newfound amazing tool is ridiculous, as it’s been provided to the party basically free of charge for at least a decade and past ..read more

Clarity on Misleading Statements, and a Free Speech Crackdown
The New Mexico Conservative Action Committee
by NM CAC

In his email on Monday, Mr. Pearce claims to have raised $9 million dollars. Because this is a political organization, all monies must be reported to the government.  An analysis of RPNM’s monetary reporting shows that his statement is completely false.According to FEC.GOV, RPNM raised roughly $600,000 at the federal level, with approximately $200,000 directly from the RNC.  The New Mexico Secretary of State finance reports show RPNM raised another $1.8 million at the state level.  About $700,000 came from a New Mexico PAC (NMHRCC) and another $500,000 from legisl ..read more
