Bonjour mes belles,
I hope you had a lovely weekend. Ours was a busy and very warm weekend, the weather experts said that we have having the weather that we normally get in June.
Yesterday morning was spent hunting for antiques at a local market, sadly we did not find a lot but we were happy to admire the collection of 2 CV's on display.
This one is called Juliette, what a cutie she is.
Vintage cars are highly sought after in France and the prices continue to rise.
A fun and fabulous piece of French history...

Making vanilla extract is something I need to do this weekend as I have almost run out of mine as I have used a lot baking my Easter goodies. I found the recipe on Sally's Baking Recipes and it is her recipe that I am sharing with you today.

Luckily for us, we have a good supply of vanilla beans on hand as French Boyfriend has a relative living in sunny Madagascar.
Let the vanilla beans infuse the vodka for as little as 8 weeks, but for optimal flavor, wait at least 6 ..read more

If I had to pick a favourite recipe, this one would be high on my list. I adore it as does my Frenchy who had only ever eaten croque-monsieur until I came along and introduced him to croque-madames.
A croque-madame is a variation on the croque-monsieur, a French twist on grilled ham and cheese sandwich. Made with crème fraiche rather than béchamel, this classic variation of croque monsieur is delicious and super quick to make.
