In the last video, Brent fixed up some dents, got the doors aligned with all the new rockers and running boards, and worked on shaved door handles too. In this one he’s working on door latches that are actually worth having. If you know these old trucks, you know that the latches are less than smooth and that there are much more secure and clean options. Tony Angelo and Derek Bieri suffer from a condition known as automotiveacquititis, a condition I have suffered from for more than 30 years. It’s not fatal, but it can be tough. I hit the Lone Star Throwdown in Conroe Texas this year, and as usual was blown away by the turnout. Lone Star Throwdown, or LST as it’s often referred to, is one of the premier custom truck shows in the country. It also happens to be one of a few of those that happen in the state of Texas. If you don’t like a cool custom van, then we probably can’t be friends. It doesn’t have to be a disco style van, because all of them are cool as hell, but I like any cool old van really. I once had the chance to buy a G Van like this one, that had a 283 and a TH350 in it, and a set of big and little Cragars. Yello Belly Dragstrip is located just a few minutes outside of downtown Dallas Texas, and is an outlaw race track to be sure. Often referred to by locals as “The Gut”, it’s a place that you really have to attend to understand, and I love it. It’s crazy, and it’s sketchy, and it’s a riot. Puddin’s new Model A project sure is a good looking car, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some issues hiding below the skin. We’re looking forward to seeing this thing go from being a restoration to being a full blown traditional hot rod and in the third video he found some rust and had to start making repairs.
