In the New York "Hush Money" case, Trump was found criminally guilty of 34 felonies. A jury of his peers, made of 7 men and five women from New York City, convicted Trump. He is now a felon and will be bound by the laws of New York. Trump will not be able to vote because Florida does not allow felons to vote. He will also have to report to a parol officer in New York. and be bound by the rules against felons. The post Guilty: The Jury Has Spoken appeared first on Citizen Jack ..read more

During Trump’s presidency, the EPA rolled back more than one hundred environmental regulations.238 The health of the nation was put in a crisis with hundreds of thousands of Americans dying of COVID-19. Extreme weather events were met with ignorance and mockery for the people affected. In this post I review how Trump and his administration diminished the work of the EPA and science departments in the Federal government. This is a warning that it will worsen if Trump gets in again. We have to fight like hell to prevent that from happening. The post Liberal Democracy & Enviromental Protectio ..read more

This is an article written by a group of Georgia public schools high school students. One of the students to Marietta High, just a few miles away from my home. I know many of the other schools represented by these students. The students have created a statewide activist group whose goal is to improve public school education. President Biden and His Predecessor in Georgia
The Art of Teaching Science
by Jack Hassard

On Saturday, March 9th, Joe Biden and his predecessor visited Georgia a few days before the March 12 primary. In Georgia, the media appears to treat President Biden and his predecessor as equals in the 2024 presidential race. But they are not—not by a long shot. The media is replicating how they covered the 2020 presidential race. This is a failure of the free press to discern the real difference between the Republican candidate and the Democratic candidate, who happens to be President of the United States. The Republican candidate sought to stay in office in 2020 by staging a coup on January ..read more

Immigrants Don’t Threaten Communities; They Revitalize Them
The Art of Teaching Science

A student at the University of Georgia was killed last week on campus. But because the man they arrested was an undocumented Venezuelan migrant, the Governor, Republican legislators, and a handful of protesters in Athens have turned the incident into a vendetta---a feud in which politicians want to seek vengeance against an entire group of people because of the murder by one person. The Georgia government is laying the blame on the whole Latino community, not only in Athens but throughout the state. AGEISM
The Art of Teaching Science

This post is about ageism and how we discriminate against people that are considered old. We need to look at the media and ask why they are making the case that Biden is not fit for office based on his age. Most of the people in the media, those that are writing the stories and reporting on various outlets, are much younger than either Trump or Biden. Could they be involved in a case of bias, discrimination, or bullying on the basis of age? This very well could be the case. Researchers call this ageism, patterned after sexism and racism.
