The Democrats are unloading some impressive cognitive dissonance in touting themselves as the defenders of the rule of law while Biden boasts of ignoring the courts (and Congress) in single-handedly forgiving $167 billion in student-loan debt. On CNN's State of the Union on Sunday, CNN analyst Scott Jennings went after young Rep. Louis Auchincloss (D-Mass.) on which part of the judicial system we "have to respect" after the Trump trial. Auchincloss claimed "What Joe Biden said was we have to respect the integrity of the judicial system. When you contrast that with what Speaker Mike Johnson sai ..read more

Was this a Sunday morning political talk show—or the trailer for Mad Max: America? Appearing on MSNBC's The Weekend, leftist NBC historian Michael Beschloss painted a picture of what America would be if Trump won the presidency that was so apocalyptic, Mel Gibson might reject the script as too over the top. Co-host Symone Sanders Townsend kicked off the scare-a-thon, claiming that if Trump wins the election, there will be no "guardrails" preventing him from doing whatever he wants. Odd assertion, given that the system just managed to convict Trump of 34 felonies, and the judge, who w ..read more

As we've noted for months, the Democrat-allied media energetically present Trump's prosecutors as nonpartisans enforcing a "rule of law." They couldn't possibly be prosecuting Trump to advance their career among Democrats. Just about five hours after the guilty verdicts were announced on Thursday, Politico published "Will Trump’s guilty verdict hurt him?" by Adam Wren and Lisa Kashinsky. About halfway into the story is a section that can be best described as blatant Alvin Bragg adulation, "Alvin Bragg sealed his place in Democratic lore," in which the authors conceded that their beloved ..read more

This Wednesday (June 5) marks 20 years since the passing of Ronald Reagan, the conservative Republican President whose policies led to record economic prosperity and laid the foundation for the peaceful end to the Cold War. In the years since his death, some in the media have used Reagan’s memory as a weapon to bash today’s Republican Party. In 2015, for example, NBC’s Andrea Mitchell juxtaposed the Gipper with his would-be successors: “Reagan’s message was infused with sunny optimism, the flip side of today’s angry rhetoric.... Reagan saw America as a shining sit on the hill. A country welcom ..read more

Taxpayer-funded PBS is just like CNN or MSNBC as it paints the Republicans as falling off a "far-right" cliff, while the Democrats have no "far left" extreme. The taxpayer-funded PBS NewsHour apparently thought that political chameleon disgruntled former Republican Joe Walsh was the best guest to discuss the trend as the former Illinois congressman was given an unchallenged forum to bash his former party. And, between Lopez and host Amna Nawaz, Republicans had been labeled as some form of extreme four times, with Walsh also throwing in a few such labels as well. Nawaz set up the segment: "A co ..read more

The liberal media often accuses former President Trump of endangering the lives of his various antagonists with his criticisms of them. The notion was that a deranged supporter might act out violently. So, it was shocking to hear Alicia Menendez, on Saturday's edition of MSNBC's The Weekend, tee up Michael Cohen to say something that could endanger the life of a former president. At the end of multiple segments in which he appeared, Menendez put it to Cohen:v"When you say you want peace, you say you'll never get peace so long as Donald Trump is here?" Cohen agreed: "Yeah. I don't believe I eve ..read more

On Monday, the interview show Amanpour & Co., which airs on CNN International and taxpayer-supported PBS, aired a conversation between host Christiane Amanpour and Jelani Cobb, the dean of Columbia Journalism School, both fretting over the perils of Trump and bringing the Joe McCarthy era into the discussion (you know it's serious when journalists bring up the Red Scare). The show included this laugher of a line fromAmanpour: "And yet, most journalists, most -- I guess, mainstream media would say, it's not our job to tell people how to vote." Could have fooled us! Cobb agreed ..read more

For Saturday’s Good Morning America on ABC, White House correspondent MaryAlice Parks denounced Donald Trump’s Friday speech, where he attacked the process that ended with him being found guilty on 34 counts of falsifying business records for “including misleading claims.” Unfortunately for ABC viewers, Parks never specified what these misleading claims were. In studio, Parks began by recalling that, "Yesterday, we saw President Trump absolutely raging about this case, airing grievances, attacking everyone involved. Republicans then piling on. All of it prompting President Biden to break ..read more

“Goodfellas” actor Frank Sivero isn’t a household name, but this week he shamed his famous peers. The veteran actor came to the defense of the 1990 mob classic starring Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci and the late Ray Liotta. Director Martin Scorsese’s film is considered one of his film canon’s highlights, on par with the greatest mobster stories ever told. AMC added a trigger warning to the film and several others in 2020 during the rise of Black Lives Matter. News of the “Goodfellas” warning went viral earlier this month. “This film includes language and/or cultural stereotypes that ..read more
