Happy Monday, Razzball faithful!
This week, I decided to shuffle up the format for the Top 100 Starting Pitchers list a bit.
I’ll still have the notes on each, (and every), arm that appears in the list. We’ll also go through a few of the ‘jumpers’ and ‘dumpers’ like we do each week. Please, blog, may I have some more ..read more

What's up, Slaminators? Did you know that the RazzSlam FAAB deadline is tomorrow? I did! I know this because I've had a tab open on my computer for weeks informing me that I better not miss FAAB, "or else Grey will smoosh you." I don't know how he's going to smoosh me through the computer, but I dare you Grey! Come at me! Speaking of, how's my RazzSlam team doing? At least good enough to get through the cutline, although my pitching has been largely decimated by injuries. Guess who my second-highest scoring pitcher is? Brady Singer. Yeesh. All of this is fine -- there's a lot of baseball ..read more

In the least shocking thing if you were paying attention to anything to do with Spencer Torkelson, he was optioned to Triple-A. He had the 2nd lowest OPS in history for 1st basemen (.683), minimum 1200 PA. Yeah, things weren’t going great! Please, blog, may I have some more ..read more

The injury bug hit hard this week. The biggest blows saw Zac Gallen and Yu Darvish get put on the IL. Hopefully, they can get healed up and back in action sooner rather than later. Their likely replacements are listed below, and you very much do not want to use either of them. Please, blog, may I have some more ..read more

We had a rough showing in Week 8, but we bounced back big time last week. Almost every one of our streamers performed well, and that’s something that rarely happens. That has me excited to keep chugging along because the waiver wire is calling to me right now. Please, blog, may I have some more ..read more

The 68th overall pick by the Rockies in 2021 out of Ohio, Rays LHP Joe Rock (23, AAA) is listed at 6’6” 200 lbs and looks the part of a major league innings eater. The Rays got Rock in exchange for SS Greg Jones in March of this year, and wouldn’t you know it, Rock’s enjoying his best professional season under Tampa’s tutelage. Our fantasy teams could learn a thing or two from a large swath of lizards and geckos that use autotomy to defend themselves. Not only is it important to be prepared to shed something to protect our precious roto ratios, but there’s something to be said about the resiliency it takes to move one without an appendage, knowing that it will grow back in some form or fashion. Please, blog, may I have some more ..read more

It's the time of week you have been waiting for - another edition of Up-and-Coming Dynasty Players. This week the spotlight falls on Houston Astros rookie Spencer Arrighetti. The right-hander is the type of player that dynasty players are always looking for - the under the radar dude who is a low risk, high reward player. Arrighetti was not drafted out of high school, so he played for TCU in 2019 where he used as a reliever for all but one of his 16 games. He then transferred to Navarro Junior College for the 2020 season that got wiped out due to Covid. In 2021 he pitched for the University of ..read more

Jerry Seinfeld voice: “What’s the deal with backs???”
That’s a great question, Jerry. What IS the deal with backs? Because we have a lot of back injuries to discuss in this week’s edition of Razzball Ambulance Chasers (sponsored by Aleve). And by a lot of back injuries, I mean almost half of the notable injuries this week are back injuries. Please, blog, may I have some more ..read more
