The Book of Esther provides a powerful illustration of God’s sovereignty in “working all things together for the good…” (Romans 8:28). Surprisingly, God’s name does not appear in Esther. The account leaves “God shaped holes.” Nowhere are those holes more evident than in chapter 4; however nowhere is God more needed or more active. Do you ever ask, “Where is God ..read more

On the surface, Esther 2 might sound like a fairy-tale. A beautiful Jewish lady is chosen by the rich King of Persia to be his Queen. Welcome to our series in Esther: Silent Sovereignty! The name of God is not found in the book of Esther. He appears to be hidden. In a chain of seemingly ordinary events, God fulfills his covenant promises through his providence. The book of Esther shows believers today that even through pagan rulers and ordinary events, God is ruling over all things for the benefit of his people and the glory of his name ..read more

On Sunday morning, the heart of Jesus began to beat and his blood began to flow. He put death to death, removing its sting and swallowing it up in victory. Because of the resurrection, we can have confidence in the gospel, purpose in this present life, and hope for the future. But, it’s not enough to simply believe the resurrection happened. We must confess that Jesus is our Lord and our God. When we do, Christ radically changes our lives ..read more
