Making strides in increasing access and affordability During the last few days in April, I visited Washington D.C. for an event organized by the National Academy for State Health Policy. I was one of 19 state-based marketplace directors invited to visit with the White House. We received a strong show of support when we arrived. DENVER— Gov. Jared Polis has named a leader in health policy, Emily King, to the board of directors of Connect for Health Colorado as an ex-officio member. King is the senior health policy advisor for Gov. Polis and serves as the deputy director of the Office of Saving People Money on Health Care.
