One of my favourite things to photograph on a wedding day is the confetti throw. It’s so much fun! All your guests will want to be involved and look ridiculously happy about throwing it at you, plus, even if you’re a couple that’s a bit camera shy, it allows you to relax, be in the moment and really get into the spirit of things. One of the questions I get asked a lot is what confetti is best for photos? Well I can help you with that! After years of photographing weddings, I like to think I’m a bit of confetti expert. So read on to get the low down on what type of confetti to buy and how ..read more

When Bride Aneeta first got in touch, she told me that her wedding to Orlando would be a fusion of two cultures, with family at the very heart, I knew it was going to be a very special wedding. They say good things come to those who wait and boy was this wedding worth the wait! In May 2022, after three date changes, Italian style and Indian glamour combined. The result was a timeless black tie wedding with pampas grass at Shustoke Barn. Waiting meant everyone they wanted could be there to celebrate with them. I was so happy to photograph this gorgeous wedding for such a lovely couple. Shustok ..read more

How’s everyone’s January going so far? It’s typically a quieter month for me, so I’ve been enjoying looking back at the family photoshoots I had in Sutton Coldfield and Birmingham last year. It felt great to be back out there photographing families laughing and having fun together. I’m going to be sharing more of my family shoots over the next few months to give you some inspiration for your own family photography. I love to photograph families having fun together in an outdoor location and have heaps of local knowledge on where to have your family photoshoot, so don’t worry if you can’t thin ..read more

Wedding Photography at Rowton Castle As a Wedding Photographer, it’s always exciting to work at a wedding venue I’ve never been to before. Rowton Castle, exceeded my expectations and was the perfect location for Tom and Rebecca’s relaxed and romantic Spring wedding. The grounds at Rowton Castle are beautiful, however, if the weather isn’t on your side, the interior is just perfect with plenty of natural light. Great indoor natural light is a huge plus point for your wedding photographer. Wedding ceremony at Shrewsbury Cathedral Rebecca got ready with her Bridesmaids in the stylish Tower Hou ..read more

Fun Summer wedding photography at Thorpe Garden

I had so much fun providing the photography for Megan and Jamie’s Summer wedding at Thorpe Garden. Megan and the girls got ready at The Make Up House, which is on the Thorpe Constantine Estate. They then made the short walk in the sunshine, accompanied by Megan’s Dad, to the ceremony in the Yurt. There’s something so special about walking to your wedding ceremony. It gives you chance to chat to your bridesmaids and walk off any nerves and from a photography point of view, it’s gives me some lovely natural moments to capture. Yurt wedding ceremony at Thorpe Garden I’ve been a wedding photograp ..read more

After photographing Ellie’s Brother’s and Sister’s wedding, I was so excited to be part of their special day. This relaxed Spring wedding at Pimhill Barn was so much fun! I’m always happy when my couples tell me they’ve chosen Pimhill Barn. This rustic DIY Shropshire venue is on a working farm and gives couples the total freedom to create the wedding they want. Mary & Oliver did just that! Having never been to a wedding before their own, they were able to create their day without any preconceived ideas or rules and create a wedding that was truly their own. Their main wish was that they wanted the day to feel laid back and informal. They definitely achieved it! They created the perfect relaxed Spr ..read more

Cheshire wedding photography Smallwood Church Penny & Lewis were one of my 2021 couples who were forced to make changes to their wedding due to Covid restrictions. They had originally planned to have a wedding at a West Midlands Barn wedding venue. The uncertainty on guest numbers left them wondering if they’d get the wedding they’d hoped for. Like a lot of my couples last year, they had to change their plans and their date. The wedding would now be in Cheshire, with the ceremony at Smallwood Church and a marquee reception, in a field owned by Penny’s parents. Their new wedding date fell t ..read more

2021 was a funny old year wasn’t it? After a year of what felt like endless lockdowns, restrictions and no weddings in 2020, I was hopeful that 2021 would be better. It was a slow starter but boy did it deliver! It felt like an explosion of joy! With ongoing restrictions, my first wedding of the year wasn’t until May but as the numbers of guests allowed at weddings increased. More of my couples went ahead with their weddings, some had been postponed, two, sometimes three times. It was a crazy busy year, which saw me shooting a full year’s worth of weddings crammed into the last 6 months of the ..read more
