This Saturday, get ready to step into a galaxy far, far away. Star Wars fans everywhere will be celebrating “May the Fourth,” also known as Star Wars Day. The Gateway, Urban Arts Gallery and the Clark Planetarium are teaming up for an out-of-this-world celebration. Jonathan Trujillo King, who works in special events with the Utah Arts Alliance, said visitors will find Battle Bots with the Utah Combat Robotics and plenty of Star Wars-themed treats, such as blue milk, wookie cookies and Mandalorian mandarins. Utah Arts Alliance welcomes the Draper rock snake to our collection of artwork. What started as an art piece made by a Draper family, Rockwell the rock snake has outgrown his original home near the Porter Rockwell Trail and will soon live at the Art Castle. Rockwell has grown to be a community art project with painted rocks being added to by those who’ve seen him. Comedy Church is hosted by Greg Kyte and Adam Broud. Both of them used to be insanely religious people but are now faithless and destined to burn in hell. In the long term, it’s kind of a bummer. But in the short term, it makes for a pretty good comedy show. Each Comedy Church show features new comedians as well as religious topics. Comedy Church takes an agnostic stance towards faith.
