Clark had almost given up on finding a life partner.  He knew being in the army and trying to build a relationship while deployed doesn’t always mix well.  Kaitlyn, too, had her own reservations about dating a military man.  However, the two met on Hinge and quickly hit it off.  To their surprise, Kaitlyn’s dad already knew and approved of Clark.  Clark’s first Sergeant was Kaitlyn’s dad and he was one of her dad’s paratroopers.  Her dad gave his blessing of the two of them dating and that speaks volumes to the love that Kaitlyn’s family has for Clark.  The t ..read more

Kaitlyn married Clark on Saturday, so it’s finally safe to share her Ma Maison Bridal Portraits!  We took these in April, about 4 weeks before her wedding at Ma Maison.  That will be coming to the blog soon, so keep your eye out for it!  Until then, here are some of my favorites from her bridal session in Dripping Springs, Texas. This portrait above is what was displayed at Kaitlyn’s wedding.  Of course, it has to be the one to start her bridal portrait blog post with! Kaitlyn told me that her now husband, Clark, only had one request for the wedding.  He ..read more

It was the week of Thanksgiving.  Since it was a holiday, Rehgan’s school was closed. However, she was still in town, because there was a swim meet.  As the swim coach, she was there to support her team.  She wasn’t the only one stuck in town, though.  Another coach, Mike, was also staying.  They decided to spend the holiday together instead of being alone.  He tried to teach her the game of chess, but she’s the one who said “Checkmate” on his heart.  The two have been together for about a year and a half.  On Saturday, Mike asked Rehgan to be his wife ..read more

I was recently asked where my favorite location to take bridal portraits is.  Hands down, Woodbine Mansion always makes the list!  There are just so many background options.  For Tonya’s Woodbine Mansion Bridal Portraits, we didn’t even use all the locations.  It also rained the morning of her session.  However, we didn’t consider postponing because there are so many indoor options that have fabulous natural light.  If you’re still searching for the perfect venue for your wedding or bridals, check out Woodbine Mansion in Round Rock, TX!     ..read more

Jackie is a classic, timeless bride. She and Brian were hoping for a light and airy Spring wedding day.  Inspired by nature, they were planning an outdoor ceremony with lots of pinks and whites to compliment the green of a Texas Spring.  However, nature had other plans that day.  Rain was in the forecast from the time the ceremony was supposed to start all the way through the night.  So, they made the call for an indoor ceremony, but wanted to take as many photos outside as possible before the rain set in.  Their wedding is proof that indoor weddings can still be beaut ..read more

Almost three Summers ago, Layne and Rachel met when they were both serving as chaperones of the summer camp their church youth group goes to.  They spent the week getting to know each other, listening to campers say they’d “ship them” all week, and began dating as soon as they returned home.  Exactly one year later, Layne proposed at that same church camp.  One year after that, they got married at a private ceremony on their 2nd dating anniversary.  They still wanted to host their friends and family for a celebration of their love, one that felt more like Summer Camp meets ..read more

While attending Texas State, Megan and Kyle met at work.  After being together for about 5 years, Megan and Kyle became husband and wife this month!  They picked Red Ridge Receptions in Smithville, Texas as their wedding venue.  Not only does it have great views, it was the perfect mid-way point for both of their families.  Megan and Kyle wanted a Spring wedding surrounded by nature.  Their wedding colors were dusty blue with pops of yellow.  Here are some of my favorites as their Red Ridge Receptions Wedding Photographer. Once Megan was dressed, it was time ..read more

Jessica and Paul were friends for years before deciding to date each other.  They met at a softball tournament.  A week later, Paul asked Jessica to be on his team.  That was an All-Star move and they “hit a home run” with finding each other!  After a year and a half of dating, Paul planned a night of dancing out with friends.  At the dance hall, he was able to surprise Jessica with a proposal and even had the band in on it!  After she said yes, she turned to see that he had their family there to celebrate the moment with the happy couple.  They became husban ..read more

In April of 2021, Matt and Stacy met on Hinge.  In April of last year, Matt proposed to Stacy on Mt. Bonnell.  This April, the two have become husband and wife!  They were married on Friday and it was my joy to be their Round Rock wedding photographer! As a wedding present to his wife, Matt gave Stacy this necklace to wear on their wedding day.  It’ll be another reminder to them both of this perfect celebration of their love for one another! After a first look with her dad, Stacy and Matt shared a first look of their own.  It was sweet and sentimental ..read more
