Andrea Garcia, a 45-year-old mother of five, was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Tuesday. The crash also left several people, including three juveniles, with non-life-threatening injuries. According to ABC 7: Authorities were dispatched to the intersection of Biesterfield and Meacham roads at about 11:22 p.m. Tuesday for a crash involving two vehicles, Elk Grove Village police said. Last week there was a deadly hit-and-run collision in Downers Grove. The fatal collision was caught on surveillance camera, and police were able to do a sweep of a two-mile radius of the crash to find the driver. Per multiple local news outlets, that driver is cooperating with the police. Police told CBS News that the victim, a 65-year-old pedestrian who was well-known in the neighborhood, had tripped and fallen into the road right before the collision. An absolutely devastating collision caused three injuries and one death in Glenview last night. Jerome Ford, a Chicago resident, has been identified as the bicyclist tragically killed in a hit-and-run incident in Melrose Park. According to Melrose Park police, Ford was struck and fatally injured near Gottlieb Hospital on Tuesday morning by a vehicle that fled the scene.
