Anniversary sessions are one of my favorite types of sessions (I know, I know… I think I say this about almost every type of session… But it’s true!) and it is doubly special when I get to work with friends! I have known Matthew and Naomi from long before they were a couple. I’ve seen them go from being friends, to dating, to getting engaged(Click here to see their engagement session. It was a rainy day, and we even got a rainbow in some of the shots!). You don’t want to miss this beautiful Lubbock Greenhouse Anniversary Session! Naomi always does an amazing job of choosing beautiful locations ..read more

Right from the start, I knew that it was going to be amazing! I can’t wait to share this engagement session with you! This is the second session that I’ve done at this pond this month, and I’m not mad about that! This private location is so beautiful, with a bridge spanning the water, green grass, and trees… Give me that with a beautiful couple, and you have a perfect combination! Greta and Abe made this session super easy! They were easy going, and I felt like I already knew them. (It may have been in part because I did Greta’s sisters engagement session several years ago, and family pictures ..read more

West Texas Engagement Session

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. As someone who happens to love words and writing, I can’t agree more! While words can express so much, there are certain aspects of it that are best captured by pictures! And this West Texas engagement session reminded me of that! You don’t want to miss this one! It was windy… again. It’s always a bit disappointing when it’s windy on a session. Sometimes it’s a good idea to just reschedule, but Tina had already gotten her hair and makeup done by the time the wind picked up. So we went ahead with the session, and I’m glad we did. It turned out beaut ..read more

I have often been asked what my favorite type of sessions is. The truth is, I don’t have an answer for that. My favorite session is whichever type of session I am currently working on! My family is something I treasure so much. Mom has always kept our house filled with pictures of us during just about every stage of life. She continues to do that with her grandchildren. It is something that is so special to me. So it is just as special to me that I can document that for other families. I have been blessed with being able to work with many different families. I love seeing how they interact wit ..read more

Fresh morning air, a vineyard, some wine, and a beautiful couple… This West Texas vineyard session was stunning! A session in a vineyard has been a bucket list photo shoot of mine for quite a while (my list of places I want to shoot is quite long, so if you are wanting to book a fun session, I am always down for it!) so I was so excited when Mina wanted to use this as their location! And it turned out just as beautifully as I had imagined! Because it’s spring in Texas, which means wind, we had to reschedule to a morning session rather than an evening session. But the morning was so beautiful ..read more

I am always excited when I can shoot in an area where I don’t often shoot, so I would excited when the Thiessen family decided to do their session in Lubbock. You don’t want to miss this family session. Sometimes a session doesn’t go quite like you planned… This session was one of those. We had planned to use a different location for the session, but we weren’t able to use that location after all. And since it was last minute, I wasn’t able to scout out the location ahead of time. I had a session at the Texas Tech Horticulture Gardens last year during the summer. It was so pretty and green. I ..read more

Coffee and a photo session? Yes, please. I had so much fun shooting the Coffee Chronicles branding session! You don’t want to miss this blog post! If you’ve followed along here for while, you probably already know that I love coffee. Not black coffee (or real coffee, as my dad would call it)… my coffee has to be sweet and cold! I’m not really a coffee oficionado. I just drink it. The other stuff… well, I leave that to the other members of my family. Needless to say, I was pretty excited when my sisters and brother-in-law decided to start a coffee booth, the Coffee Chronicles, that they plan to ..read more

Have you ever been to the Hill Country to see the wildflowers? If not, I highly recommend! You don’t want to miss this gorgeous Fredericksburg wildflower session! I’ve been to Fredericksburg several times with friends (If you read my blog, you probably know I was there a couple of weeks ago), but I have always missed peek wildflower season. So after our Fredericksburg vacation in February when you could see that the flowers were about to start blooming in full force, my sister and I decided we needed to make a quick trip back to have a photo session. When we told my mom and other sister, they ..read more
