Chrysler is recalling more than 280,000 vehicles due to a manufacturing issue with the right and left air bag inflators that could cause them rupture, according to the Nation Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). An inflator may rupture which could result in sharp metal fragments striking occupants, with the potential for injury or death. Honda is recalling more than 4.5 million cars worldwide, over 2.5 million in the United States, because of a defect in the fuel pump that could lead to engine failure or stalling in traffic. It had previously recalled over 600,000 vehicle in the U.S. in 2021 and over 130,000 in 2020 for the same issue. Honda and Acura are recalling almost 125,000 vehicles across numerous model lines due to a part in the brake system that was potentially improperly assembled, which could lead to brake failure.
