After time in reserves Hagar enlisted into the Australian Regular army as an infantry soldier posting to the 1st Battalion. Hagar deployed to East Timor in 2000, 2003 and 2006. After finishing school Paul went to University and completed a bachelor in Business Administration however had set his sights on becoming a Police Officer. Krish grew up in mountains of Nepal, he applied to join the British Army's Royal Gurkha Rifles as a teenager and was successful. He spent 7 years in the Gurkhas before attempting SAS selection, becoming one of the first two Gurkhas to ever join the Regiment.  Krish spent the next 17 years within the regiment rising to the rank of Warrant Officer.
