I recently got accepted into Xavier University but am having trouble finding out if this school will provide me with the necessary knowledge and quality of education as compared to other more, well known Caribbean schools such as SGU or Ross. I'm having iffy feelings about actually going to attend this school as they did not requite MCAT scores and the interview was done by phone. Has anyone graduated from here or have any info on this school? Thanks ..read more

Greetings forum members once again. The last 2 times I posted, it was regarding my unjust dismissal from a US medical school (if anyone wishes to know which one, PM me). As you can see if you review my prior threads, you'll see that many express doubt over my claims. Well, just recently I filed a FERPA request and got my confidential records from the school. The official decision to dismiss me after my successful completion of my 2nd year was based on "an evaluation and discussion of [my]... Read more ..read more

Applied to about 15 DO schools, and was lucky to get on the waitlist of 1 school, but I don't know if getting a waitlist was due to interviewing with them pretty late (Febuary, secondary submitted in January) for reference, I'm pushing 30, and don't want to waste a whole other year of my life for a third cycle if no one state-side accepts me quick rundown of my stats: 501 mcat (2nd attempt) 2.9 uGPA but with a 3.6 graduate GPA, 1300 hours of research with 1 research pub 100-150 hours... So I am looking into applying to both Ross and AUC. I haven't heard much regarding how research at either institution works (if any opportunities are even offered), and was looking to hearing from any current or former students to fill me in. For instance, I know that research is something you have to apply for at SGU, and I was wondering if it works that way at Ross and/or AUC as well ..read more

Hi everyone, I got accepted into MUA. However, they want me to take one year of pre-med because I do not have my bachelor's degree. I will finish with a bachelor's and a medical degree. The transition into MS1 should be ok. I just wanted to ask for some advice because I'm a little scared of going to a Caribbean medical school. Does anyone on here know anything about MUA and any vital information I should know? Please let me know I would greatly appreciate it ..read more

Just two months after "quashing" rumors, Spartan has officially lost CAAM-HP accreditation and does not currently have ACCM accreditation. Looks like it's probably the end of the road, bye bye. https://caam-hp.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Spartan-2024.pdf ..read more
