Caught about a week ago off the shore with a nightcrawler at Calamus resevoir. I caught a very similar fish at this same spot few years ago.

Hey all, I'll be camping with a big group this weekend at Ender's and was wondering if you guys have any tips for me in terms of what baits/lures are the most effective for bank fishing.
I see that there are walleye, white bass, wipers, and northern pike in there, which is probably what I'll be targeting. Possibly might try for channel cats too, but I'm more interested in the former.
I'll probably be bringing my entire arsenal of baits, as well as probably 3-4 rods.
What would be the first thing y'all throw? Was probably going to start with a moving bait like cranks, and switch to something l ..read more

I am moving to Lincoln for work in a little under 2 weeks. I love to fish when I am off, but I don’t know where to go. What are some good spots near Lincoln (preferably within a 45 minute drive from where I will be living (just east of UNL campus). I don’t really care about species but I would like to go after some trout(I rarely eat any other fish I catch) if large numbers are still present in Holmes after I arrive. Also, don’t suggest looking at the 2024 fishing forecast since I looked and it only lists lakes in Western Nebraska.
Also, I will be super close to Salt Creek but idk where I can ..read more

I have to go to Fremont next week to help my family with some stuff. I would love to do some fishing while I'm there just to get away from them for a while. I do not have any ice fishing gear. Is there any water that is ice free near either Fremont or Lincoln?

Camping with the family at Louisville SRA for the first time. How’s the fishing here? Day drinking now but going to try for a morning bite when it’s cooler. I’m very much a multi species angler and curious what’s worth targeting. TIA
