We'll be in Bonaire for a day on a cruise and I'm trying to decide on an excursion. One takes us to the Salt Flats, slave huts , lighthouse , mangroves and then 2 hrs at Sorobon Beach. Four hours total. The other does the Salt Flats, slave huts and Ocean Oasis beach club. It's actually an hour longer. Either way, we'll have time to wander the town on our own. Has anyone done this tour? It is an island tour with a 2-2 1/2 hr stop at Sorobon Beach which includes entrance fee & chairs.  Hubby has a bad back & cannot do golf carts.  This tour brings you to the most imp features & drops you off at the beach, which we would love. After reading all the great fun everyone seems to have on the golf carts in Bonaire we are interested in checking out these rentals for the Beyond 5/18 Cruise (this Saturday) but of course looks like everything is booked solid…my bad for not looking into this sooner. My wife and I will be in Bonaire for 1 day on the Celebrity Equinox cruise ship. We can either rent a car, prior to arriving, or hire a taxi for an excursion of the Island.  *How accommodating is it to rent a taxi at the cruise terminal and will they do excursions? *Do the car companies meet you at the cruise terminal or do we have to walk into Kralendijk? Are there local rental car companies in addition to the international ones like Budget, Avis, etc? Also stopping in Aruba and Curacao if any info can also be provided on those places. Thank You. Just back from an 8-day on the Vista and wanted to share a great experience. We booked 2 weeks before sailing on a last minute casino deal, which was great, however the late date caused limited excursion choices. All golf carts were fully booked on Bonaire. When looking for a golf cart by email, Hans from Roadrunner explained that no carts were available, but suggested the Twizy tour. Being a car-guy, I checked out the Twizy (made by Renault) and it looked appealing. (It's an EV with 2 inline seats, not side by side.) We're looking at cruise itineraries in the Caribbean . I always like to include a new port or two. We've been to a lot but there are still quite a few ports we haven't been to before: Bonaire, Curacao, Grand Turk, Puerto Rico ,BVI , Dominica, St Croix, Dominican Republic and Grand Cayman. Looking mostly for natural beauty, interesting architecture and photography, though shopping and food is good too! Not interested in adventure sports.
