So me and my buddy know a spot with huge bowfin and we found out the state record is only 14 pounds. so we plan on going out to try and catch a state record but we don't know what to do. Like is there any regulations on hook size, leaders, and live bait? Is there rules on weighing the fish and measuring it? do we have to keep it alive? Who would we call the dnr or something else? Also it would probably be sometime during the night so would there be anyone from the dnr to come and confirm it?
