From time to time, I have difficulty starting the car. I turn the ignition and nothing happens. After 20 minutes it eventually starts and its fine for a week. Mechanics cannot figure out what the problem is because when I bring it in, it is fine. They replaced batteries, starters. No avail. Any ideas ..read more

I have a 2015 avalon limited and the steering wheel tilt mechanism is coming loose while driving. Dealership tells me there are no maintenance items in this mechanism and I have to replace the complete steering wheel assembly for big bucks. Is this true? thanks brian ..read more

With the dead key fob the button to start the car wouldn't work. Luckily it started on the 3rd try & I was able to get to the battery store. Question is: is there a mechanical way to start the car using the key inside the fob? I couldn't see any slots to insert the key. Anyone know ..read more

Yesterday, my 2013 Avalon XLE, with almost 95K miles, the dashboard lite up. Ran the codes and got the P0015 Code. P0015 - "B" Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Retarded (Bank 1) All the other lights reset after restarting the engine, but the Check Engine Light is still on. Would like to thank DoctorQuality for excellent diagnostic and recommended fixes for stuck rr shade. After manually depressing the shade and removing the fuse, the shade is now in the down position and stays there. Fuse removal tool is in the engine compartment fuse box and with some awkward maneuvering under the steering wheel, job was done and zero cost. Many thanks ..read more
