I read all 13 books on The Booker Prize longlist. Here are my thoughts. For the first time, I've read every book on longlist, and here I am reviewing The Booker Prize longlist, and ranking them. I hoped to get this video up before the shortlist was announced, but migraines and a busy life thwarted me, but this year was an interesting list and I'm glad I read and reviewed them all. Books mentioned Stone Yard Devotional by Charlotte Wood Creation Lake by Rachel Kushner Wandering Stars by Tommy Orange My Friends by Hisham Mattar Held by Anne Michaels Playground by Richard Powers Orbital by Samant ..read more

Lots of spooky books and atmospheric historical fiction for my favourite time of the year. Books Mentioned Autumn by Ali Smith Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel Carol by Patricia Highsmith The Burning Chambers by Kate Moses The Argonauts by Maggie Nelson The Old Ways by Robert MacFarlane The House of the Spirits by Isabel Allende The Swallo ..read more

20th Century Lesbian Literature: An Intro to Modernism As a reader whose experience with classics is mostly limited to the 19th century, I decided to give myself an intro to modernism by reading some 20th century lesbian literature, as many of the well known and influential names of the modernist period were lesbians, women who loved women, or otherwise gender non conforming women. How to Travel the Scottish Highlands and Islands by Train (and Boat . And Bus) Hello! Welcome to my Scottish Highlands and Islands travel guide. Recently I travelled to Scotland on public transport, and explored some of the most beautiful parts of the UK using only public transport. The West Highland Line is one of the most beautiful railway journeys in the world, the Isle of Skye is stunning, and the Knoydart peninsula is the last wilderness in the UK. It was a wonderful trip, and I hope it inspires you. Scot Rail Spirit of Scotland Travel Pass https://www.scotrail.co.uk/tickets/combined-tick ..read more
