Last year I dislocated and fractured my knee cap, and after surgery, and doing nothing but keeping my leg locked in a brace, it hurt even slightly bending my knee, and I worried about my ability to return to work as an Early Childhood Teacher. I don’t mind saying that I shed tears when I first was able to pedal go all the way round on the bike. However through the patient work and the way Daniel at Recovery Physio instilled confidence in me of my ability to perform the exercises/tasks, my knee is stronger than ever, and I have complete confidence in it. Thank you so much for helping me ge ..read more

Yes, I fall into that growing group of gently ageing bodies who throw themselves into a training program, and part way through get side lined by what seems like an injury that will spell a complete end to your aims and ambitions. In my case, this year it struck me during my training for the Waiheke Wharf to Wharf run. I’ll spare the details of my actual injury but suffice it to say I hobbled in there crippled, but walked out much more comfortable. Within a few targeted visits to Recovery Physio and my home exercise plan I’m now running further and faster than any year before and I’m so confide ..read more

I honestly didn’t think it would ever be possible. Kirsty, Birkenhead. The post Kirsty, Birkenhead appeared first on Advanced Rec ..read more

After two consecutive back injuries, months of immobilization due to the pain and heavy medication, I had pretty much given up on hope of getting better. Before we decided on surgery, my Orthopedic surgeon referred me on for Physiotherapy and I went to see Recovery Physio. Amazingly, they managed to diagnose what was the probable cause of the pain, and what they could do to help. It was such a relief to know what was wrong, it made me feel that my pain was valid and not something in my own mind. Within a few weeks the pain had gone and only a few more until I was back at work. I still can’t be ..read more
