Every year on 12 May, we take a moment to recognise and celebrate the wonderful work our caring and compassionate nurses on International Nurses Day. At Seabrae Manor Aged Care, we love animals. We welcome pets into our home as it helps residents with their mental health by decreasing stress and anxiety, helps to combat loneliness and brings a lot of joy. Our residents look forward to the many weekly pet visits from family, volunteers and even our GP and physiotherapist who bring their furry pets in for cuddles. Hank and Jan are residents of our wonderful community here at Seabrae Manor Aged Care. Valentine’s Day holds special memories for the couple as it was the day they first met. On the 1st of July, Seabrae Manor Aged Care celebrated it’s 6th Birthday! Our residents enjoyed a delicious morning tea, lucky door prizes, sent birthday messages, had lots of fun & laughter. Staff joined in the celebration and enjoyed pizza, birthday cake along with chocolates donated by our lovely Lillian Buchanan & family, and coffee’s from the wonderful Tonia and Joe Hammerich from Hammerich's Coffee in North Lakes. After watching the devastating impact of the bushfires around the country, an emotional resident Doreen Thompson asked the question “how can we help them?” From that simple question, the “Fiver for the Fire Appeal” morning tea was organised. A cuppa and a cake, fancy dress and lots of fun was held on the 21st November 2019.
