Jeshal from Helium Financial Planning first approached Tailwind for a rebrand a few years ago as he worked behind-the-scenes to build a new brand for a new business venture. Since then, we’ve worked with Helium to create brand stationery, documentation, and — most recently — a website that showcases the entire range of financial advice and management services they offer. Helium positions itself as accessible and friendly while providing top-notch expertise and professionalism. To communicate this, we opted for a design that embraced simplicity and minimalism — which can be quite the task when ..read more

We were so stoked to see our mahi come together at Te Kupenga o Rongomai Maidstone Sports Hub these past few weeks! After designing this community hub's branding, Tailwind was tasked with creating an effective wayfinding system and implementing a strong visual identity throughout the Te Kupenga o Rongomai building. A key highlight is the front entrance's huge 'stained glass' pattern. This was designed to bring the main atrium space to life by giving the grey interior a burst of colourful light and striking reflections. This building has already received such a warm welcome from the local commu ..read more

When award-winning real estate agent Grant Whisker decided to start his own business, he asked Tailwind to design a sophisticated yet approachable brand and website to showcase his services. Whisker Coastal won Real Estate Agent of the Year just 7 months after launching. We chose to highlight the business's beautiful location, Australia's Sunshine Coast, with a palette of sandy golden hues and crystalline water. The logo incorporates a geometric 'W' and 'C', the latter shaped like a wave form with gradients to evoke the shimmering quality of the sea and sand. We built a bright, user-friendly w ..read more

The Tailwind Team is extremely proud to showcase our work on the branding project for Te Kupenga o Rongomai Maidstone Sports Hub . Te Āti Awa gifted a name for the facility to Upper Hutt City Council which means ‘the fishing net of Rongomai’. We were engaged by Te Aka o te Kupenga Maidstone Park Trust to develop the branding and marketing design. We absolutely loved the process of learning and working closely with council advisors and te ao Māori experts to craft an identity that honours such a meaningful name and meets Te Aka o te Kupenga’s goals of presenting a place that welcomes every corn ..read more

When our long-time friends at Upper Hutt City Council asked us to design a website for their marketing initiative, we were stoked at the chance to come up with a funky, youthful interface to match the preexistent branding. The My Upper Hutt campaign is split into four categories: Explore, Taste, Do and Shop: each section is colour-coded based on their content. We made sure the website offered an engaging experience at every turn with tons of bold typography, motion and familiar language.   ..read more

Securing a strong head start for new business SecurityLogics
Tailwind Blog

SecurityLogics, a Christchurch-based security startup, asked Tailwind to create an identity that felt both secure and friendly. The business targets homeowners and businesses alike, and the current market is saturated with masculine, harsh and loud brand identities. We responded to the client's brief by steering away from sharp angles and agressive colours, opting instead for an approachable lower-case logotype and memorable gradient green/blue palette. The logomark combines a trust-generating badge shape and a tick mark – signalling that Security Logics gets the job done once and well. We des ..read more
