Started in Ohio waters, gnats were out when we set up.Winds picked up just enough to knock down the bugs.Got 3 man pulling spoons in about 30 fow in about 3 hours.Water temp went down a couple of degrees.Jett 30s 70 to 100 back.Color didn't matter.No junk fish,had some shorts . Perfect day for us,and it didn't take us over an hour to get back to shore this time.Fisherman 2 came through again,pointing us in the right direction.Thanks Jim,have a great weekend[ATTACH...

After that killer sunrise bite yesterday I set up at 6am this morning. Didnt like the south wind from the get. Fish were tight to the bottom and moody. Finally around 830 they came up to feed. Went 11 for 14. Lake went flat around
10am and gnats came out so I split with 6 nice eaters and I aint complaining ..read more

Day started out bad getting caught in some I94 traffice jams. Then, realized we left the worms at home. The day improved after that. Had two newbies with us today. Anybody downriver fix rods. My kids lees kvd rods tip guide insert has a nick in it. He’s on the Carlson fishing team and is bummed it keeps cutting his line. He has 3 of them but claims this one is for Texas rigs, hell i use walleye rods? bass fishing. Thx ..read more

Anyone targeting these specifically? Any dedicated carp fishers on the site? Perhaps we can start a rough fish and oddball thread. Took the largest recorded catch and release carp in 1999 (38”) a Huron river fish. I’m sure the Great Lakes and tributaries have potential for much larger fish…. Would love to learn more ..read more

I fished the Upper this morning with a couple of friends, we caught a limit on the Canadian side. We jigged and pulled harnesses and both methods were effective. Water had a heavy stain and was 56 degrees. I also pulled up a nice rod and reel that seems like it hasn’t been down there all that long. PM me what kind it is and I’ll get it back to you.
