Our First round of Top 8 and Bottom 7 kicks off for the Lincoln University Thomson Trophy, while the other competitions carry on through their round robins.
Lincoln University Thomson Division One Top 8
Our Top 8 has our current top seeds Christs College host Rangiora, which promises to be close. My pick for this though is Rangiora.
First time top 8 seed Rolleston takes on St Bedes at St Bedes. But I think St Bedes will claim this one.
ST Andrews are heading to St Thomas with an early tip off (5.45pm). I think St Andrews could still claim this one.

This week’s match ups look to bring a few great contests with several hard picks to make.
All Thomson games tip off at 7.30pm Tuesday!
Starting with Lincoln University’s Division One Thomson Trophy.
Pool One Cashmere sit out with a bye week, while Christ’s College travels to Hillmorton. My pick for this matchup has to go to Christ’s College to follow up on their performance against Cashmere.
Pool Two has Rangiora take on St Bede’s in what is likely to be a physical match up. With Rangiora’s current results, I expect to see them take the W. While our other match up in Pool Two should be another ..read more

Notes for this week:
Christ’s New Gym – this opened up for the Thomson Trophy team last night, and by all accounts was a fantastic new addition to the school. We’re very lucky to be able to use the gym for some weekend club games too. Please note, we have renamed the courts in the gym that we will use to #2 (Riverside) and #3 (Garden Side) respectively. Also note, there is not parking in the school grounds, so please give yourself a bit of time to arrive and walk in the main entrance, past the field and classrooms to the new gym (or ..read more
