The first Women’s Club World Cup will take place in January and February of 2026, FIFA has confirmed. A 16-team tournament will take place every four years with the first edition set to take place in 20 months’ time in a host country that has not yet been announced. Brazil’s bid to stage the 2027 Women’s World Cup has been rated higher than the rival joint-bid from Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany (BNG) in a new FIFA report evaluating the options.
