Here at Waterloo Swimming, we take our pools and facility cleanliness seriously. It is important to us that the pools are kept at a high standard of clean for our customers and staff. In this video we will be working on our posture and flutter kicks for backstroke. This drill is applicable to Orange/White/Novice 1/Novice 2 and Intermediate level swimmers at Waterloo. Lay flat on your back with your head in a neutral position with your eyes looking up at the ceiling. Next, think about flattening out your back and pushing your hips up towards the ceiling. Finally, point your toes away from you, pick your legs up no more than 6 inches off the ground and alternate each leg by moving them up and down simultaneously. In this video we will be working on posture for backstroke for our white/Novice 1/Novice 2 and Intermediate level swimmers at Waterloo. You will need a flat surface and an open area to perform this drill. Lay flat on your back with your eyes looking straight up at the ceiling with your head in a neutral position and your arms by your side. As you look at the ceiling, push your back flat into the ground without moving head.
