I was faster than my coach.. and he was the king of Speed. So we got of to a bad start haha .
He challenged me once to block... I did and THEn he slapped me with the other hand. He apologized but it was obvious that I annoyed him. Never could get that relationship work.
Anyway, here you can see my Speed.

I wish TKD gyms were as badass as boxing gyms.
Pretty sissy... And they have no sense of guard/punching range even though we had punches to the face in My traditional school..
I could knock out anybody at will with a right hand...but I restrained myself...and that's not because I was some master boxer.. it's because they apparently didn't know how fast a punch travels....
Some of them could hit pretty well with their fist (punchers are born).
Tell you guys how sissy it was, I went straight from my boxing class to TAekwondo class or vice ve ..read more

So Far I have been getting great results. I am not using any S & C coaches ideas. These are purely my own ideas / invention based on what I think works.
I can't workout every day right now, because I have bills to pay. So what I do is dedicate entire days to training. With the object of punishing myself and being disciplined. Some of these things I had to work my way up to, and didn't happen over night. I have 3 different days, based on the motto "no wasted time" Which I garnered from the Roman legionnaires, who made sure every second of the day, including eating was slotte ..read more

I got myself in pretty good shape now. No longer have weak tattoo artist legs.
They put me in w the guy closest to my size, more like height - he had about 40 lbs on me.
used vintage skills and dominated the last few rounds. First round was rusty took a few knocks but after that I started using the old moves I picked up from tapes.

How sensitive is the side of the jaw compared to other spots? Is it impressive? I don't know if I rolled with it or not. But it was a full swing that banged me, and I had no mouth piece either.
It felt like getting with by a hammer in the shape of a leg

From a UK perspective I can remember leaping being described as a no no a lot of the time.
For instance before Naseem Hamed Vs Kevin Kelley, Phil Borgia who was Kelley's trainer said "if he leaps he sleeps". I took this as a way of him saying, leaping was not solid boxing technique and if Hamed tried that amateurish stuff against Kelley he would get countered.
I think there's a fine line between what could be considered bouncing in and out versus a distinguishable "leap". I would think of Usyk and sometimes Fury, for instance in the second Wilder fight as people who bounce in and out whereas ..read more
