This was a budget model with some plastic parts. One of which was the mag release. Any one own one and is the release dependable? Is a metal one from other Smiths, the 915 possibly, interchangeable? I'm thinking of getting one ..read more

Even thought the police said that the shooting of the first mass shooter was self defense they are still considering it a murder, as they probably want to charge the
guy who ran off with it.
If I read the links correctly, there were 3 suspects involved, but only 2 of them were reported as being armed. The third one, who is already in custody, IDK...

There is a alleged disagreement about a parking space, one guy pulls out a knife and starts chasing the other guy around a car, the other guy is able to
retrieve a handgun and shoots. Video backs the concealed carriers story and no charges at this time. He was fortunate that he was able to get to the gun in
time. As for myself, I'm too old and disabled to run around a car and then try to retrieve a gun.
Police say their investigation showed Samplina got into an argument over a...

The Mete SFX pro is kinda the odd ball of the newer Canik offerings. I've owned the original SFX, the Rival, and the Mete SFT. All great shooters. What drew me to this model was the extra long threaded and fluted barrel, and the ever so slightly better trigger. According to reviewers this model has a better trigger than the newest TTI. So I ordered in this Mete SFX pro:
It comes with the full Canik kit with the best holster from Canik so far. One 18 round...

I was excited to get the new 3" Heritage Roscoe.
The Blued finish and the thin grips are an eye catcher. It also comes with a rubber Taurus boot grip under the cardboard.
I tried shooting it with the slim grip and that was very hard and painful, lots of knuckle knock and unable to get any accuracy. So thinking my big paws needed more grip area, I compared the frames between a S&W 642 and a Taurus 856. The 856 grip frame...
