I was scrolling through Facebook on my phone this morning (I know, terrible Muriel, but I was) and this beautiful image jumped out at me. So perfect. This woman, older, ripe, tried and tested perhaps. Like a true Goddess, she appears to be relaxed, amused, content, and perhaps even self satisfied. And oh so many wrinkles. She looks, truly and deeply beautiful. Do you think so too? I then read the poem that accompanied the image and just had to share it with you. “Don’t prioritize your looks my friend, they won’t last the journey. Your sense of humour though, will only get better. Your intuitio ..read more

How To Publish Your Own Tarot Deck Did you ever wonder how your favorite Tarot deck came to be? There are probably thousands of different decks out there now, from historic classics like the Tarot de Marseille and the Smith-Waite, to decks with contemporary themes like the Tarot Oil Tarot deck, Queer Tarot, Pagan Otherworlds, the Druidcraft deck and so many more. They all had to be conceived, created, and published before making their way out into the world and ultimately to You. How does this typically happen? It’s something I hadn’t really thought about until a need ..read more

The World Card on Mothers Day It’s a beautiful autumn day, and it happens to be Mothers Day here in Australia as well. I’m not sure if you’ve ever come across the Weekly Tarot card read I do each Sunday. If not, you may like to check it out today because it just so happens that the Tarot card that has come up for the week ahead is The World.  The World card coming up on Mothers Day is quite delightful from my perspective. Perhaps that’s because I often use the experience of a pregnant woman close to the day of giving birth and becoming a Mother, as an explainer for the energy of ..read more

The Invitation It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing. It doesn’t interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive. It doesn’t interest me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life’s betrayals or have become shrivelled and closed from fear of further pain. I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own ..read more

Myers Briggs Personality Types and the Court Cards of the Minor Arcana There’s a good chance you’ve heard of Myers-Briggs personality types. You might have come across them in assessments at school or work, or while taking a personality quiz online. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) was developed in the early through mid-20th century by two amateur psychology scholars, Katherine Cook Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers. The version we know today was published as a handbook in 1944.  Based on Jungian archetypes, observation, and other psychology-related readings ..read more

Abundance is having more than what is considered sufficient. It is having plenty of what you need, or want, regardless of whether that is food, fuel, finances, health, happiness, friendships, somewhere to live- whatever it is that you are wanting really. A lack of abundance can cr ..read more

Which Tarot card matches your astrological or zodiac sign you might ask. The answer to that is simple and I’ll share it with you in a moment. For now though, Id like to explain the difference between Astrology and the Zodiac because I used to think it was the same thing. It kind of is, but it also kind of isn’t. So clarity first! If you’ve ever had your chart done, you will have received a print out with a circular diagram on it that has twelve areas marked out, which are known as the twelve houses. At the time you are born the various planets are located within one or another of the twelve ho ..read more
