The whole experience of this Hotel X wedding started when I met Sandra and Paul a couple of weeks before their wedding day. We met at the venue to work on their photography vision. However, this visit wasn’t my first experience with Hotel X weddings, so I knew what to expect. Previously, I had taken only getting-ready photos here for another wedding. For this wedding, I was excited to have access to many more photo opportunities. Seeing the lobby of this modern Toronto hotel, I already had millions of ideas about what and where to take photos.

For this elegant Trius Winery wedding in the beautiful Niagara on the Lake region, Alanna and Peter planned an intimate yet joyful celebration.
Due to public health restrictions, weddings during the COVID-19 era had to be smaller in scale. Knowing this, Peter and Alanna decided to plan an intimate celebration, inviting only their closest friends and family. For the dinner celebration, they chose the outdoor patio at Trius Winery. The venue set up one long harvest table that was able to accommodate all their guests and family.

Having worked in the wedding industry for more than 25 years, I have seen many weddings that have hired wedding planners and coordinators or relied on venue coordinators. Many weddings did not have any wedding planners. As well, for many others, the wedding couple used their friends and family to assist with the planning process.
Your wedding day plan is likely the best one for you. However, making an informed decision about how you want to manage the planning process is crucial. In this blog post, I want to share my feedback from the perspective of photographers with my future wedding couples ..read more

It was by chance that I had the opportunity to photograph this Auberge du Pommier wedding. Originally, Igly and Melissa planned to marry at the Columbus Event Centre. However, due to the COVID restrictions and limitations in place at the time, they had to come up with alternative options. They had to think outside the box and prioritize what was most important to them on their special day. For them, it meant a smaller, more intimate wedding at the lovely Auberge du Pommier restaurant in North York.

For many years, I wanted to photograph a Paletta Manson wedding. While I have been photographing at Paletta Mansion since 2010, I had never previously had the opportunity to capture a wedding at this location. Most of my sessions there involved engagements, pre- or post-wedding photos, and family sessions. The number of people Paletta Mansion could accommodate for an event has always been a barrier for my clients, as they typically wanted to invite more than 100 people.
However, my focus shifted to more intimate weddings during and after the COVID period. As a result, this Paletta Mansion wedd ..read more

This Cranberry Creek wedding blog highlights just why this venue continues to grow in popularity in Delhi. With its seven acres of gardens, a vintage chapel, and a barn on site, its versatility is a photographer’s dream. We had limited time here for Becky and Jason’s wedding, as only the ceremony and photo session took place at the chapel. Afterwards, we would travel to a different venue for the reception. So, I fell in love with the location even without having a chance to see all of what it could offer. I can’t wait to return and see more of what it has in store.

As a Cambridge Mill wedding photographer, it is always a pleasure to work with a couple who allows me to express my creativity in a beautiful location. This particular venue is ideal for hosting events for guests who appreciate excellent food and drinks, as well as a spacious area for dancing and parties. Its uniqueness stems from its location, making it a perfect choice for any special occasion.

This Elora Mill engagement holds a special place in my heart. Having previously worked with Jack’s family, capturing his sister’s and mother’s weddings at other Pearle Hospitality locations, it was an honour to continue the tradition with Jack and his fiancée, Quinn. We incorporated so many diverse backdrops during our session around Elora Mill, including the charming village and the natural landscape – all within walking distance.

I first discovered Waterstone Estates and Farms weddings when I was writing about photography locations for my website. On this page, I compiled information on over 400 places where I have worked in my 25+ years of photography experience.
Although I had yet to work at Waterstone Estate and Farms, I included it as a location because it is an amazing place for weddings, and I would be photographing Sal and Michelle’s wedding here soon.

Sandra and Mike’s Doctor’s House wedding may not have gone according to the original plan that the couple had envisioned, but the end result was nothing short of absolutely beautiful. Planning a wedding in the middle of a pandemic meant that they learned the hard way how to plan, replan, and adjust their expectations as to what it meant to celebrate their union with a large crowd during these unprecedented times.
The communication and innovative problem-solving needed to adjust wedding timelines and accommodate new restrictions created an amazing bonding experience with all my wedding couples ..read more
