I have noticed recently that my 2015 TDI has what sounds like a timing chain rattle on startup but only very intermittently, maybe only once every 15-20 starts. I also noticed today as my wife was driving away that there was a brief rattle for maybe 1sec as she accelerated. Seemed to be the same sound. Doesn’t seem typical of a timing chain rattle being as it’s very random and intermittent, but sounds very similar. Maybe something loose? Any recommends on what to check first? Is it possible to retrofit an Auto hold into 4L(mk I) Q7? I've just bought 2013 Q7 3.0 TDI S-Line and I gotta say I am little dissapointed for not having that feature. On my previous cars I've founded it to be one of the most comfortable features on a vehicles. Even our year older Q3 has one. Both are european market cars. Hello, I have a 2009 Audi Q7 and when I use the climate control little air come out of all vents. Previously I had no air but when swapping the blower motor resistor the fan works. I've replaced my cabin air filter and I've pulled out the blower motor and powered it up. It seems to be blowing pretty hard. I have 2 codes related to HVAC 01273 (Fresh Air Blower (V2)) and 01592 (Air Quality Sensor G238). Does anyone have some advice on what the issue could be or things I could check ..read more

Can someone interpret this for me? I have a 2014 Audi Q7 AWD 3.0T quattro S line Prestige 4dr SUV. I need help interpreting this scan done using "Top Don." I'm not sure if its my ignition coils, spark plugs, or fuel pump (sometimes I smell faint gas fumes with the a/c on...rarely though), but my MPG is horrible, check engine light is on, and the only codes Auto Zone shows me are the O2 sensors. Is this something I can repair myself, based on the attached reports? Do I need to get the fuel pressure checked? Haven't used AC much since winter and today on a warm afternoon the AC seems to be barely cooling at all. 2015 Q7 TDI with front and rear climate control. I had noticed a few weeks ago that the AC seemed a little warm but didn't pay much attention. Today it definitely wasn't keeping up. What is strange is that the left side is blowing slightly cool but the right is warm. Scanned for fault codes and no codes at all which seems strange given how sensitive the vehicle systems are. 2015 TDI went in for service today - Just for an oil change and a faint and very sporadic smell of coolant. Tech couldn't find any coolant leaks, but certainly found an oil leak, and a melted ground cable. They just listed the cable as "Engine Ground to Frame". Assuming their MAY be a few of these, I thought I'd check here to see if there is one that is prone to getting too hot (Regen heat???). Tech said they have no idea why the casing melted, but it is about $220 to replace. Hello all, I have a 2011 Q7 3.0T Prestige that I have owned for about 3 years. It has been running flawlessly until today when I parked it, I got back in a few hours later started it up, put it in drive…doesn’t move. I tried all of the gears and I’m getting nothing. Do the MK 1 Audis have a brake service mode or only the MK 2? I ask because when replacing the rear rotors on our 2015 Q7 Premium Plus, the parking brake shoes were stuck and I buggered them up removing the rotor. Now the shoes are dragging regardless of how I adjust them. I am going to take it to my independent shop and let them take it from here but the mentioned that if I didn't put it in service mode I may have ruined the calipers.
