Hi. My wife brought home 'a' - one - windshield wiper for her 2001 New Beetle - and asked me to change the blades. First of all, there's only one. It's some obscure brand. There is a service number to call, but I figured I would ask the experts first - I gotta strong feeling the 'service' folks won't be able to help. This wiper is a Touring Hybrid 21 Extreme Weather Blade (essentially, I suppose, a winter wiper) - 21 inches - 530 mm - part number 07621. Apparently, this is a 'hybrid' wiper, unlike the old standards that are currently on her VW. Everywhere I look, I get the answer that this 200 ..read more

Hey guy,my 2002 beetle battery died on me and to make sure it was the battery I jumped started the car, the car started it was fine, so I went to Walmart and purchased a new battery but it took me 1 day to do that, and I accidently kept both positive and negatives, so the car was not connected to any battery for over 24 hours. When I finally finished switching the battery, the car turned on fine, but nothing on my front panel (gas gauge, speedometer, RPM meter) and my radio will not work (I have read a lot about this, but it is not even asking me for the Radio Card Code. The power windows, hor ..read more

Dash Icons on a 2003 New Beetle

I have a Beetle, 2003 with turbo. There's a light on the dash that I can't figure out. I've tried googling it, but can't seem to find it. It's in the lower left corner of the dash. It's amber in color. It's shaped like my car and has an arrow that looks as if it's coming from the back window. When I first saw it, I thought maybe it was an indicator that the trunk was open, however, the trunk is securely latched. I confess, I'm not a car savvy person. Any ideas on what it means ..read more
