I couldn't find anything similar while googling, but poudriere was unable to build pkg in the jail, so I was hoping people here had seen something similar and know how to fix it?
Poudriere is running in a VM with FreeBSD 14.0, and building with a 13.1-amd64 jail for TrueNAS Core. The errors where it stopped building are as follows:
[00:04:27] cc -Wall -Wextra -std=gnu11 -D_GNU_SOURCE=1 -MT elfhints.pico -MD -MP -MF elfhints.Tpico -o elfhints.pico -c -O2 -pipe -Wno-error -fstack-protector-strong -fno-strict-aliasing -Werror=implicit-function-declaration -Werror=return-type -I/wrkdirs/usr/port ..read more

Hello everybody.
My recent experiences with hardware have been disappointing and I am here asking for help.
I used a RPi3B+ as FreeBSD box, with two pendrive USB as ZFS pool to store the /var and /home directories of the jails I created.
Apparently, USB pendrives aren’t a good choice (please, don’t laugh!), but the RPi is great because it’s small and silent.
I would like to have a system at home that’s:
Compact
Silent
Able to run jails
Able to manage ZFS
And, obviously, runs FreeBSD :-)
I considered the following options:
Pinerock64 with SATA PCIE board;
A QNAP NAS;
RPi with external USB H ..read more

Both the Security and News RSS feeds appear to have stopped working. It's hard to say exactly how long they've been down, but I haven't been notified of any of the 14.1 betas or RCs.
I've checked the FreeBSD Landing page and neither URL has changed. (You can see the little RSS icons at the bottom of the lists. I don't know about errata, I'm not subscribed to that feed.)
The broken links are:
https://www.freebsd.org/news/feed.xml

I can't email the FreeBSD team directly, my emails are "denied" because I'm not on the mailing list. Does anybody know how t ..read more

Publication of file content is encouraged at pages such as:
https://wiki.freebsd.org/Graphics#Reporting
Non-modified content is not ideal.
I would not publish things such as:
serial numbers of storage devices
network addresses of the computer
addresses of DHCP servers.
If you have a core.txt.* file:
what would you not publish?

I test-drove kde5 on freebsd-14 (in a vmware fusion x86_64 vm) and was blown away with how usable it is. I like having the option of virtual-box so x86_64 seems like a must, plus minimum of 64GB of ECC RAM. Any hardware suggestions for supporting the very best desktop experience are welcome. I'm thinking either a server with slots for a couple of SSDs (root pool) plus 4-5 HDDs, or a mini pc plus a disk enclosure (JBOD for the HDDs).

If you know where to look, you'll start seeing signs of 14.1-RELEASE this weekend:
I applied a release/14.1.0 tag to the src tree yesterday.
AMIs are on EC2 and in the AWS Marketplace
ISOs are on ftp-master and in the process of propagating out to mirrors.
FreeBSD Update bits are not yet ready but will probably show up on Saturday or Sunday (depending on your time zone).
At some point images will be available in Google and Azure clouds.
Just a reminder: It's not official until I send a GPG-signed announcement to the freebsd-announce mailing list.
