As Scott van Pelt said tonight, "The charade is over."  The NCAA and power 5 conferences reached an agreement to pay players directly. They will pay players going back to 2016. Payout will be $2.7B over the next 10 years. All current lawsuits need to be dropped. More details to come but it looks like athletes are getting paid going forward. I wonder how this impacts NIL? Well with the loss to Clemson yesterday the Cats finished 2023 at 7-6. Going into the 2024 season it should one of the most exciting for the SEC and college football in a number of years. The schedule for 2024 is a little different and I think a bit tougher than this seasons schedule. While they do not have to play Alabama next season, they pickup Texas on the road and add Ole Miss. instead of Miss. State. I think that Ole Miss. will be ranked in the top 5 preseason with what they have returning. They also have Auburn instead of Missouri.
