Ha Giang Loop Easy Rider as a very tall man

Hey everyone, Travelling to Vietnam this June/July and planning on doing the Ha Giang loop with an easy rider as I have zero motorbike experience. Question is will getting an easy rider be a problem as I’m very tall - 6’8” (204cm). I know I’ll likely be much bigger than any local. I weigh around 100kg. Is this likely to be a problem with sizing/ weight balance ? Thanks ! submitted by /u/ed8ed [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Seen lots of girls dress in nice outfits at the Cafe. The guys, on the other hand, dress like a bunch of slobs. submitted by /u/capmar [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Folks, I know it's 2024 but I was still using Zalo and got locked out and I no longer own the old phone number so I am trying to use US phone number for several weeks now to no avail. It's always that message saying "unable to receive the verification code automatically at this time. Please try again after 24 hours (1000016)". I did try after 24 hours and give same result. Does Zalo no longer work with foreign numbers? If not, does anyone know if I can get VN virtual number? Oh I also contacted Zalo customer service via their form on the website TWICE and no reply. submitted by /u/El_Pequeno ..read more

Last weekend, I had a long conversation with my dad who is 68 years old and the most interesting part was that he said that back in the 1960s, he had to drop out of the 3rd year of public school (around age 8) because he had no money to pay for school due to his father passing away who financially supported the family. The school officials said that he may be eligible to continue his education for free if he could provide a birth certificate. Because my dad was not able to find his birth certificate, he was not able to continue his education. I still wonder if this concept is still true in to ..read more

A small back and forth I have with my wife. She(29 F Vietnamese) says that she would never and I should never use a towel from a hotel. You don't know if it's clean or who's had it before you. I (29 M foreigner) don't quite care. Smeels clean, looks clean, all good. Where does reddit stand on the subject? submitted by /u/Cold_Lime2368 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
