Proof if it were needed that wheels make the car. I always say wheels and ride height actually, but I can’t tell if you’ve altered the height, or if it’s on air, or if it’s just the bigger wheels making it look so much better. Either way, what a difference! Good job on the details too. I like the de-chromed parts and the puddle lights are a nice touch. Nailed it. I'm good thanks Mark.Had my knee swapped out last ..read more

Author: YPVS Posted: Tue Sep 05, 2023 7:59 am Mine had the MOT testers whinging about play in the front control arms for years. They looked fine to me when I did them, but the strut top mount was shot. If you're on air suspension, get the O ring at the top of the strut housing as ever since I put mine back together after swapping the top mount, the air suspension in that corner loses a bit of height if parked for a couple of days ..read more

Author: Cayenne74 Posted: Fri Sep 01, 2023 11:53 am Yep, I appreciate most folks are on here because of their more interesting Porsches! I'm on a couple of Cayenne groups on FB but they are an utter waste of time (like most FB groups), so tend to use these forums for more sensible responses and actual knowledge. Well I still have to fit the headlight tray and bootlid struts! One day. I had the car into my local garage for a pre-MOT inspection the other week as I was thinking a fair bit was needing done. Fair old list for them to attend to before the end of next month: Flexi to the front ..read more

Author: Cayenne74 Posted: Fri Jul 14, 2023 2:10 pm Bit of a quiet couple of months on the Cayenne but I do have a few things to tend to. After my success with the parking sensors I started getting a red light from the front nearside when slowing down and the sensors were activating so ran the scanner and it came up with a fault code for one of the new sensors I'd installed. I gave a clean best I could and maybe thought a bit of dirt was on it but nope, same thing and fault code kept coming back when cleared. Cue me having to take the front bumper off the night before we set off on holida ..read more

Author: Cayenne74 Posted: Fri Jul 14, 2023 1:48 pm Very similar experience to me. Crash on the motorway so I was stationary for about an hour in the outside lane. Traffic started moving so I accelerated hard to get up to speed, heard gravel and stones being thrown up and felt something weird happening then the PSM and ABS light came on. I was in 6th gear when this happened so the gears changed fine all the way home. It was the next day when I read the fault codes and cleared them (then they came back straight away) that the car then started holding gear and I had to go to manual shift mod ..read more

Weird noise then ABS light on followed by PSM fault. Rear left wheel i'm getting the fault code for. Having to shift the car in manual mode. Its into the garage next week anyway for some other stuff so letting them take a look at it. I swapped both sensors so that could have been the cause, but my issue appeared after I pulled into the central reservation to make room for a broken down vehicle. As I pulled away from the ..read more
